25 percent tariff on Chinese imports
Correct me if I’m wrong (with a cite), but isn’t his plan to slap a tarrif only on products that US companies go overseas to manufacture, at peasant wages? e.g, Ford is building a factory in Mexico instead of US. Trump said he’d slap a tarrif on every car they try to ship into the US from that plant.
So we’ll tax a Ford made in Mexico, but give a Honda or Toyota made in Mexico a free pass?
Just what the US needs is more central planning. Look what government’s done for us so far.
