Isn’t a leader supposed to be convincing in getting their agenda through. Cruz can’t even get Republicans on his side. How on Earth is he able to be President and get his bills passed if he can’t even convince Republicans to join his agenda? If Cruz were to be President, he wouldn’t get his agenda passed unless he used EO’s. He is just not a leader. A leader is able to be passionate and convincing that he is right. The only positive that I can see with a President Cruz is that nothing would get done but our debt would stay stable and all laws that we have now would be the same (it wouldn’t get worse). I can’t see how he could be a functional President.
Not that either is or could be a “functional president,” but Mccain and Obama didn’t and don’t have a string of “follow me” successes in their senate careers. McCain’s amnesty program was shot down, and I don’t recall Obama offering anything.

If you can’t see how Ted Cruz could be an outstanding and highly functional President, then you have no vision.
Before you go too far down this road, look up the legislative accomplishments of a senator named Obama.
I’ve found no evidence of his ability in the Senate to garner consensus.
He has said the first action he will take is to cancel every executive order Obama put in place - that includes all the “rules” he gave every department under him. If that is all Cruz did in his whole term, we would have gotten many of our liberties restored. Our liberty to have a gun would be restored and he would veto any bill that could take away that liberty.
Instead of Muslims Obama has appointed to run most every department under him, those Muslims would be gone and our federal departments would be run by conservatives.
Every liberal running a department would be out of a job. People tend not to think about who is running departments, such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives who are starting, in November, to crack down on keeping guns away from Veterans and elderly people. When Cruz takes over, a conservative will run that department, those Obama rules will go away and you and all of us will be safer in all our possessions, including guns.
Instead of Obama’s Islamic henchmen running the NSA (National Security Agency), a conservative will run it. Frankly, I will feel safer posting comments on FR as right now, I would bet the NSA reads on this website, and I would include Homeland Security in that.
Just imagine Homeland Security would be run by a conservative and that conservative would change the guidelines of that agency and stop pursuing veterans, whom they now say may be domestic terrorists, plus preppers whom they say may be domestic terrorists. I am a major prepper who has written a huge number of prepper articles on another website so I'm sure Homeland Security has me pegged as a possible terrorist. Sure, at 81 years old, I am a danger to this country. Hogwash.
What about the Environmental Protection Agency? A conservative would run that instead of a freaking liberal.
Department of Defense - our military would once again have a conservative running that department who actually wants to defend this country (and he wouldn't be a Muslim). I want Dick Cheney running that department however I know that can't happen. :o)
Listing every department would make my post too long, but think of all of them run by capable men/women who actually love this country.
The above is why we need Cruz to save us and this country.
Many said the same about Reagan in 1979, we all know how that turned out.
