Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may have raped his ex-wife Ivana Trump, according to a 1993 biography of the real estate mogul uncovered by The Daily Beast. Trump's attorney on Monday denied the allegation, claiming “you cannot rape your spouse.”
“You’re talking about the front-runner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as private individual, who never raped anybody," Michael Cohen, the Trump Organization’s special counsel, told The Daily Beast. "And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse.”
The biography, Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, by Harry Hurt III, details a 1989 incident in which Trump reportedly confronted his then-wife Ivana, pulling out clumps of her hair and sexually assaulting her. She characterized the incident as rape during the couple’s divorce proceedings in the early 1990s and said she felt “violated,” according to legal documents cited by The Daily Beast....

You’re right. I’ve not ever had to justify or extenuate in anyway support for Clinton, Pelosi, Reid (both of whom are not in New York, or Schummer. I haven’t had to trim my principles. I have never voted for a Democrat or been a member of their party. But hey, if you’re into being one of Trump’s chumps and an apologist for the big blowhard, then fine.
Our one-party political system as been “rape-raping” (thanks Whoopi) us for many generations.
I read post #45. It’s why I sent you the link of Trump thumping the little guy, an old lady. Trump wanted her out of her house so he could build a garage for his limos at his casino. The house was a lovely and well maintained home. See the youtube link. Trump insisted that his customers shouldn’t have to see such things when they came to gamble. They should see fountains and lovely sites. So he was lying and trying to bully an old lady. Now, I don’t care if you support Trump. But I do think you shouldn’t say you support the little guy and then you ignore that Trump has ruthlessly smashed the little guy when it suits his purpose of amazing more and more billions for him to brag about.

So you are OK with the use of eminent domain to transfer property from one private property owner to another, because the latter has the “highest and best” plans for using the property, and will result in more tax revenue?

Rape gaffes only hurt when the whole campaign is a mild mannered Huckabee or Todd Akin.

I’ve been to law school, have experience, and Cohen’s statements that a husband cannot tape his wife are just plain wrong.

Is it any surprise that the main stream media will report the poison which is poured into a divorce where big money is involved? Also, they MUST stop Trump. He has struck an irritated nerve throughout America’s heartland, which is begging for relief from the tyranny of the East and West Coast culture and politics which Republicans have refused to address. It horrifies the media that Trump could actually continue to ride this roller coaster to a win. In that case their alliances with the developing socialism could come to a halt along with the parties and riches that come with connections to the ruling elites. I do not believe that what disgruntled ex-wives said all those many years ago will deter Trump supporters. In fact, judging from the great love his children seem to have for him, I imagine those same ex-wives have moved on and might have something different to say today. Watch the debates on Fox. Those will be interesting.

Ivana Trump’s assertion of “rape” came in a deposition—part of the early ’90s divorce case between the Trumps, and revealed in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump.
The book, by former Texas Monthly and Newsweek reporter Harry Hurt III, described a harrowing scene. After a painful scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot, Donald Trump confronted his then-wife, who had previously used the same plastic surgeon.
“Your fucking doctor has ruined me!” Trump cried.
What followed was a “violent assault,” according to Lost Tycoon. Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.
“Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault,” Hurt writes. “According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me.’”
This is all a smoke screen. Like the Dem candidates can’t drive drunk off a bridge, leave a woman to die and still shine like a saint in their eyes. Trump isn’t my first choice, but I will be danged if I fall for this.
At least it wasn’t RAPE rape.
