Report: Tom Brady destroyed phone, suspension to be upheld

The NFL is going to reject Tom Brady’s appeal and uphold the four-game suspension he is facing for his alleged role in Deflategate, according to one report.

Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning that a source told him Roger Goodell will not reduce or overturn Brady’s suspension. Perhaps more shocking, Smith cited a separate source who told him Brady actually destroyed his own personal cell phone rather than just refusing to turn it over.

She probably told him that if any nude pics get out, more balls will be deflated.

Nonsense. Him destroying his phone doesn’t mean anything regarding deflating footballs. There could have been many other reasons why he didn’t want the NFL to look at his phone (pictures of his wife, hiding an affair, etc..)

The rest of the evidence against Brady is hilariously thin.

What good is destroying the phone? All the records are still on a server somewhere.

In hildabutchbitch's basement, but don't worry, it's secure.

Reading about a rumor on MSN and then believing it as fact is beyond stupid.

The whole thing is so moronic, even the Washington Post did a major take down on the lack of facts and evidence in this nonsensical "gate".

I suppose he should have beat his girlfriend or committed some kind of crime, maybe then it would be okay.....

Everytime i hear about destroying a phone, Breaking Bad comes to mind. I bet 20 cell phones were twisted to death in that series alone.

When he takes it to court the NFL will lose when his lawyers asks what normal expected deflation is during a half and they have no answer. And I think that might actually be Goodell’s plan. Much like “losing” the Ray Rice case freed him up from the PR reinstating Rice “too soon”. If the courts throw out Brady’s suspension Goodell can’t be accused of playing favorites with the Golden Boy.

***he played better with the legal balls....the whole thing is a farce.***

That is completely irrelevant. The fact is that he tried to gain an unfair advantage is what is at issue..... it’s the same thing as the guys doing HGH, etc. They get four games, so should he.

One other thing.... please spare me the “he didn’t know about it” stuff and especially the “they didn’t tamper with the balls” stuff. The ball boy was referred to as “The Deflator”..... and it wasn’t because he was losing weight.

WEEI this morning said that the four game suspension will stand because it is the easiest case for the NFL to lose. Brady starts game one. Godwell says he was firm and Deflategate goes away.

The phone can have a lot of unrelated stuff on it someone who wants to go phishing for stuff, can then browse. I dont blame innocent people for doing it. Of course it may make sense for the regular’person to have a burner nowadays so ifmthey do keep other personal private stuff they have it on something else.

The Server is not Brady's. This isn't a law Enforcement Investigation. The NFL cannot subpoena Verizon....

Not if they were actually friends and hang out together even once in awhile. Some actually are friends with each other.

What is relevant is there is zero evidence that any of this was going on.

Zero. Count it.

The Wells report has been destroyed multiple times, once even by the Washington Post.

If it's irrelevant that he played better with fully inflated balls, that he lit up multiple teams including the best defense in the last five years in the Superbowl, then you may need to take some mental accuity tests.

Agreed 100%.

Goodell WANTS this to be thrown out by the court to save face with idiot fans who want the Patroit’s blood in this phony controversy.

“Yes. he is protected by the Fifth Amendment to not incriminate himself”

That statement is good only in a court of law. The NFL is not a court of law. Therefore, he has no grounds to claim 5th amendment rights. The NFL is, for all practical purposes, a dictatorship, in spite of the players union.

I happen to have it from a source that Stephen A. Smith likes to diddle little transgender children. Go ahead and ask him.

He tried to gain an unfair advantage.... whether he did or not is irrelevant.

Guys who take HGH try to gain an unfair advantage... whether they do or not is irrelevant.

They get 4 games, so should he.

Spare the crud that they didn’t do it. The Ballboy was nicknamed “The Deflator”. Do you think he’d do that without Brady’s knowledge?

BTW.... The Washington Post defends Hillary, too. I wouldn’t give them much credence.

If so, hiding pics or an affair, he is not the fair haired boy we all hope that he is....?

Fishy at best. “Something is rotten in the State of Massachusetts.”
