Reminds me of a woman I know who got a job with an architecture/design firm that did a lot of work in San Francisco. I asked if she had seen any mob problems there.
She did not know of SF mob problems, but one of the firm’s partners would drive hundreds of miles (instead of flying) into NYC and Boston because he carried mob payoff cash for legitimate projects there.
