I wouldn’t look for too much “outrage” there these days.
Most of em are in it for the money...they’re basically tax-exempt business entities.
Churches in the USA have been basically “neutered” by the threat of losing that blessed tax exempt status should they take part in whatever the IRS considers “political debate”. Not all, but they majority of em, crater and shiver in their shoes to that IRS threat. Instead, what they really need to be shivering in their shoes about is what God says. As they, too, will be held accountable. When judgement comes, it will start with them first.
MATTHEW 5:13 describes the state of the church in America. (Not all, but many.)
