A Philadelphia Story - 30 Blocks Of Squalor & Government Incompetence

--snip-- Building 101 luxury low income townhouses in the midst of squalor, depravity, drugs, crime, and welfare mentality, with $27 million of taxpayer funds is the kind of waste created by liberal do-gooder politicians like Michael Nutter and Barack Obama. The $27 million should have been spent replacing ancient water mains before they burst and destroyed businesses and homes, costing the city and its citizens millions in lost business and property damage. The Mantua Square debacle gets better by the day. It was built using Obama’s $900 billion porkulus funds. It sits within one of Obama’s Promise Zones in the Mantua section of West Philly. Last month they found a dead body on the same block as Mantua Square. Ten people were shot a few blocks away on the same night. Does it sound like this low income housing estate has upgraded the neighborhood?

2banana’s Equation on Cities:

Long term democrat rule + huge free sh*t army + total control by public union goons = bankruptcy, ruin and misery.

When I used to live in Philly I would drive people down Route 1 on the west side of Philly. A very straight road.

Driving south - on the right side (Montgomery County) was propeserous, well maintained lawns, clean, businesses, shopping, restaurants, etc.

On the left side (Philly), boarded up houses, burnt out houses, trash, no shopping, no restaurants, slums, etc.

I would ask people what was magical about that road.

Hint - see equation above.

I am, unfortunately, all over Philthadelphia, every day. And it is an abject shithole. No amount of hipster douche marshmallow gentrifiers will make the turd polished.

And the amount of hijabs and burkhas is MINDBLOWING.

On top of that, all of these new construction projects are made from wood, which scares me. Does anyone actually build buildings with bricks anymore?

And as mentioned in the article earlier, I have seen dozens of murals on walls all over the city, and exactly one of them had white men on it. If an alien came down to visit the ruins of America, specifically Philthadelphia, they would think black people were the center of the universe. Magical, amazing beings, the lot of them...How could the civilization fail with them in such abundance?

Jim Quinn is still around? Unless it's a newer Jim Quinn than the one who burst on the scene in the 70s with hippie hair down to his waist flowing from his gigantic Irish head, I remember when he was a liberal.

Two comments at the article site are priceless:

Arnold
Good thing the feds are in some parts, The Liberty Bell would be slagged by now.

Billy the Poet
The bell is fine, the liberty not so much.

I seem to recall reading a few years ago that the wood houses built by Jimmah Cahtahs organization were already falling apart about 10 years after being built.

They’ve wasted hundreds of millions on public schools that only graduate 50% of those entering and most of those graduates are functionally illiterate. They spend millions painting murals, giving tax breaks to mega-corporations like Comcast, and building sports stadiums for billionaires. The corruption, mismanagement, incompetence and stupidity of politicians, government bureaucrats, and union officials is breathtaking to behold.

Without knowing I'm going to assume a city run this badly is run by black democrats...
