Kentucky Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said that he thinks there are about 58 senators who will vote to defund Planned Parenthood on Tuesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

We’re being lied to again by the GOPe and apparently Paul is in on the lie. That makes him part of the establishment, IMO.

They need 67 (70 to be safe), and they can't get them.
And, even if you regard passing a bill which cannot become law to prove some sort of point, once they get to 60, switchers will appear to drive the number back to 59.
After all, if Senators' girlfriends couldn't have abortions, where would we be?
But we already know. If people cared, it wouldn't be happening.
I doubt there are 40 Senate votes to defund PP in the beltway cesspit. McConnell did a stand alone bill to hide that fact behind a 60 vote cloture threshold. There won’t be a real vote on defunding PP and that’s just what the GOPe want. Paul is lying to us, again.

There’s a very good reason. A real vote puts on record all these lying POS beltway snakes that say they want to defund PP but in reality are happy to fund the baby killing chop shop. You can bet a lot of them are under the GOP tent, FRiend.

Whatever liberal group latches on to the government money teat, they take some of that money and "donate" to a (501 C) liberal non-profit group to "buy" which congress critter they need to influence to keep the taxpayer gravy train rolling...
Except of course if you area conservative group, where you get scrutinized for years by the IRS to see if you qualify...
Then you are denied, because some democrat Congressman threatens the IRS they might be approving a conservative "terrorist" group...
Are you crazy? Everyone would blame Republicans for parks closing and government workers getting a vacation. Then a couple years later the Republicans would win a landslide election and take the Senate.

I recall just a few years ago the uproar, the controversy about harvesting stem cells. Just look how far we've "progressed" as a result of so many weak, unprincipled, duplicitous people leading America!

One of the perks of being a Member of Congress (never mind a Senator) is all the unprotected sex you want with an endless supply of drop-dead gorgeous, experienced 20-25 year olds.
To think that a majority (never mind 2/3!) will vote in a way to impair all those necessary abortions?

And for those here who believe, against all evidence, that Republicans in Congress exhibit superior morality? It makes me want to vomit.
Every year the budget(or a continuing resolution) is up for a vote. The Republicans vote for budgets which fund PP every time. It really is as simple as that.
They refuse to stand up and fight on the issue.
The Ex-Im bank ?? - They will cut deals, back room bargain and do what ever it takes to pass it.
TPA ?? - They will threaten Senators, lie and cheat to get it passed.
Defund Planned Parenthood ?? - “Sorry, we tried our best. We don’t want to get blamed for a government shutdown. “

Rand Paul comes off looking like a naive dreamer with his weak figures. Cruz was way ahead of him trying to attach the defunding of Planned Parenthood to the highway bill.
Somebody should get McConnell’s support. That would make 59.
Next question: who owns those companies that purchasing the BABY parts.
Next question: Do any one or some of the Senators and/or Representatives have any relationship to those companies?
The old saying "Follow the Money" seems like something that should be investigated in this matter.
Our politicians D & R are an EVIL bunch, but they do nothing without getting their pockets lined, and I think it is deeper than just the Lobbyists paying them off.

If you cannot defund Planned Abortionhood after they ghoulishly sell dead fetus parts publicly, then America has become 100% Satanic.
