WASHINGTON Not too long ago, a dollar bet on businessman Donald Trump once would have returned $100 if he won the Republican presidential nomination. Now, the odds are 8 to 1.
Trump's surge in opinion polls has made him more popular among bettors overseas wagering on the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.
"Donald Trump has got to be taken seriously," said Rupert Adams, a spokesman for William Hill, a London-based gambling site whose name adorns the sports book at Monmouth Park in Oceanport and the sponsor of the William Hill Haskell Invitational at the track on Aug. 2. Gov. Chris Christie's odds have also improved, but not as dramatically as Trump's.
The Real Clear Politics average of national polls from July 9-25 put Trump in first place with 18.2 percent, followed by Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 13.7 percent and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with 11.7 percent. Christie was ninth with 3 percent. The top 10 candidates as determined by opinion polls will be invited to the main Fox News debate Aug. 6. . .

“Jeb Bush 7/5” suckers bet.
Time will tell.
He’s getting the big dough.
That’s typically what it takes to win (the nomination) in a shootout like this one will be.

His message sucks and he’s been defined. All the money in the world won’t save Bush.
During the gun control debate and the recall of 3 state CO senators outside money came into Colorado to save them. The Bloomberg and Dem money ad campaign was 7 or 8 to 1 in favor of the anti-gun legislators. All three lost their state senate seats. They were already defined losers and blanketing of the tv airwaves with their ad campaign was futile. ...Say goodbye to Bush.

Crossover voting in the primaries and bunched up primaries were made for Bush, sad to say.
If a good guy gets elected, he should make the elimination of these things a priority.
I heard the same comments about Mediocre Mitt 48 months ago.
Trump’s got a lot of horsepower going for him while Bush is the nothing but a wet noodle. Wimpy Bush better bring up his game since he’s dumb at messaging with dumber messages.
