I just recently found out that Duanne Allman (uncredited) plays with Clapton on the Layla cut.
When Clapton was showing George Harrison how to play "As My Guitar Gently Weeps", he fell in love with George's wife....the Layla song is about her (Patty Boyd). Clapton later marries Patty.
Patty's sister was married to Mic Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac) but left Mic when she caught him with Stevie Nicks.
