Many a time when we were dating, MGD and I were the benefit of the kindness of strangers when stranded by the malfunction of his old beater of a car.
To this day, he "pays it forward" by stopping to help anyone and everyone who appears to be stranded. I know my son in law does the same.
I provide my help by calling 911. Sad situation, but that’s how it has to be nowadays.
