I have a better idea. Use land mines OR place National Guard along the border with orders to shoot on sight.
Barbed wire, electric fence, hidden pits with pointy stakes, land mines, helicopter and guard towers with machine guns. Oh, severed heads on pikes just outside the “Exclusion Zone” as a warning to the rest.
