Obama has decided that two wildly unpopular policies, one foreign and one domestic, will be the final legacy of his wildly unpopular administration. The domestic policy is gun control. The foreign policy is Iranian nukes. While Americans will be disarmed, Iran will be getting ready for its ballistic missiles. Ramming through wildly unpopular policies is what this administration does best. More than anything else, this administration will be remembered for the mix of bullying, smears, pop culture distractions, outright lies, bureaucratic sabotage and blatant lawbreaking with which it achieved its policy goals.

Easy for him to do when he has such a soft rug (Congress) to walk over.

Great article, but I would say Obama is planning to ram through additional unpopular policies with the goal of cementing Progressive control of the White House for the foreseeable future and making certain that the other branches of government either tow the line or are irrelevant.
These include flooding the nation with left leaning-immigrants, many of them Muslim. and using the concept of “disparate impact” to force the integration of America’s suburbs.
Said it for a while, the guy doesn’t have any persuasive skill, let alone required by a professional politician.
His winning 2 national elections doesn’t really count as a demonstration of this (i.e., persuasive skill).
“More than anything else, this administration will be remembered for” setting the conditions for a major nuclear war in the Middle East ... as well as “the mix of bullying, smears, pop culture distractions, outright lies, bureaucratic sabotage and blatant lawbreaking with which it achieved its policy goals.”
And yet, he does always get what he wants.
Obama was threatening to not even bring the deal to Congress, saying it was not a “treaty” but only an executive agreement.
Congress panicked, and offered “anything” which would entice O to submit deal to Congress.
He said, OK, but you’ll have to have a 2/3rds majority to reject (instead of to ratify like a treaty)
He snookered them...again..like the Road Runner and Wiley E. Coyote. Beep beep
And why not? 0bama, Reid, Pelosi, McConnell, Boehner (et al.) ALL WANT THE SAME THING. They're all power-hungry statists. They're all national socialists, except that 0bama has tendencies to international socialism.

What IS memorable, on the other hand, is the COMPLETE LACK OF OPPOSITION to his “policy goals”.
