I have a cat named BRUTUS. I think that’s cute, because she wouldn’t answer to the first two names I gave her. - However, in the final analysis, she is a CAT. She hunts other little animals, birds, bugs, etc. & spends every day outside hunting & stalking. - CECIL, the lion, spent his days outside hunting & stalking. He was no better than BRUTUS, you, me, or any other animal - even the impalas, zebras, etc. he most assuredly killed & ate. Let’s assume one of the zebras he killed was named ZOE, and she had a family. Will OBAMA now insist on justice for Zoe?
Newsbusters compared number of stories about Cecil with number about PP butchers... Running something like 100-1 for Cecil.
Last I saw, the locals charged the hunting guide and landowner for violating the local rules and baiting the lion to draw it from the refuge.
The locals are perplexed at all the American outrage (First-World problems) over a dead lion, even one from a refuge.

If there wasn’t any controlled hunts then there wouldn’t be any wildlife. The money from controlled hunts go to the preservation of wildlife and protecting the environment they live in.
