If they can’t destroy the candidate, they’ll do their best to defame their donors.

No donors should could possibly be as defamed as Obama supporters.

According to The Texas Observer, he has been known to fly Rick Perry, the former governor of Texas, on his private jet.

Did he fly Perry to the big La Raza convention?

“The donation represents one of the largest amounts given by a single donor to a Super PAC so far this campaign cycle and demonstrates the potential influence that individuals can have upon a presidential election and with a senior lawmaker.”

Whoa - if I gave someone that much money, I’d expect more than a thank you note. I’d expect direct influence on policy.

“magnet for big donors” ?

Ted Cruz is one of the few who can attract both small and big donors. He currently has more small donors than anyone else, although Bernie Sanders might overtake him.

Rand Paul depends almost totally on small donors.

Jeb Clinton depends almost totally on big donors.

Some of the others have a mix...but not like Ted Cruz.

My mentor Bill Robinson taught that there are three things in politics:

Money
People

the brains to know what to do with them.

The history of conservatives has been that they mostly lack the last of the three. Does the Cruz campaign staff know what to do with the two assets he does have?

Cruz was scheduled to appear at a book store near me. I found out about it from a Walker supporter who also is a supporter of conservatives working toegether.

Cruz sends me numerous appeals for money in which he states I am his supporter. (Well, he’s in my top 3.) But not once does Cruz send me an email saying “I’ll be a a bookstore close to you. Come and bring 3 friends with you.”

Conservatives will win when we find the brains. Until then, playing the victim card will not win us anything ... except a little more money from the delusional.
