I agree with him, at least the first part that I’ve read.
Word!
The idea that we should be involved in Crimea or the (fake country of ) Ukraine is insane.
“Crimea” is not where the fighting is. Eastern Ukraine is where the Russians are killing people.
If you think the US should ignore that, that is delusional.
Got mixed feelings on this one.
Back in the 80’s I had an English roommate at Vanderbilt. I asked him why Europe was always critizing the U.S. and never said a peep about Soviet Russia.
He said “We live next to Russia. If the U.S. isn’t going to take a stand, we certainly aren’t.”
Without US leadership, Europe doesn’t have the ca-hones to stand up to Russia.
On the otherhand, if we are always leading, Europe will never grow a pair.
So it’s a judgement call.
Hey, Iran is not our problem either.
Saudi Arabia? Let ISIS have it.
Japan? Let China have it.
I agree with Trump. The European condemn Russia from one side of their mouth and from the other make all sort of business deals - plus they’re doing squat to becoming less dependent on Russia. They shut down their nuclear power and refuse fracking and the use of coal (although Germany has started building some coal plants.)
Also they want us to carry the burden of any military action.
Trump the negotiator is laying down some groundwork to change this equation.
Trump is naive on Russia and Putin, and the Putinistas who call Ukraine a “fake country” on this forum are loathsome dogs whose destination is hell.
That said, I still like Trump for President. Russia will continue its aggression, regardless of what Trump thinks, and we will be forced to act sooner or later.
HOORAY Donald. It’s not that offensive to let them defend themselves against all enemies foreign and domestic. Spend some Euros, arm your forces, arm your citizens of your great European Union.
Hmmm. In reality it their “southern border” problem. Drugs (the topic no MSM will write about) are one of Russia’s top exports. Controlling the Crimean opens up much shorter and more direct drug routes to Europe. We can’t close or monitor their borders when we won’t even attempt to stop the drug flow through our own.
Now why won’t the media expose this? Why are the articles hidden in page behind page in search engine? Find the world maps of drug trade routes. They were available in the past
I have to agree with Trump on this one. We need to stop the invaders at our own borders before we worry about someone else’s.
Outside tonight is a Blue Moon.
So it is probably appropriate that I actually agree with Donald Trump on something.
Holy cow.
“I think I would get along very well with Vladimir Putin”
I think Putin would love you if you stayed out of his way too, Trump.
We have done enough damage in Crimea with McCains help.
I started thinking of countries as a person. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let them figure it out for themselves. Tough love.
With our own multitrillion dollar debt your mother and i (USA) have to think about ourselves. It’s for the best. Good luck son (90% of the world).
Oh, and son, always keep one eye on the Russians Chinese, and the Muslims.
Europe needs to man up & defend their interests.
Now, they depend on the USA to defend them from aggression. US taxpayers pay a huge sum in the defense of Europe & NATO.
Germany’s military is more of a jobs program than fighting force. Britain, no longer Great, probably couldn’t defeat Argentina in another war over the Falklands.
Amen!
