Bratton: We can't repeat the 1970s again (in NYC)
MYFOXNY ^ | Aug. 2, 2015

As he prepares for a major police conference, Commissioner Bratton told it like it is about the rise in shootings in the city and he's warning that this disturbing trend must be put in check before it’s too late.

It was a weekend of gun violence that sadly; no one believes it will be the last.

In East New York, 9 people were shot and wounded at a barbecue. And in the Bronx, 20 year-old Christian Garcia was shot and killed, and 2 others struck when a gunman opened fire in a children's playground.

Speaking on a radio show, Commissioner Bratton says it's not just a New York problem.

“Crime is on the rise all across the US” he said.

The NYPD’s latest statistics show a 10% increase in murders through July 27th, compared to the same period last year.

Violating Constitutional rights becomes necessary to keep the peace ONLY if the people are incapable of ordered liberty. This is but one reason why the left has invested so heavily in social and particularly sexual dysfunction.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

Black lives matter, but black fathers don't. Sexual depravity destroys family integrity. At that point, who raises the kids? The State. So if your goal is to destroy limited government, contention and instability are your plaything. It also provides the democratic bonus of a horde of expensive unionized dependents: police, bailiffs, judges, lawyers, counselors, interpreters, jailors, parole officers, remedial educators... The more dysfunction the more expense. The more expense the more debt. The more debt the more leverage to exercise over the government that comes begging... Print the money, loan it to the government, loan your favored titans the cash to "invest" overseas in cheaper goods thus diluting the assets of a shrinking middle class without measurable inflation. Such a deal.

Hence, the people who funded Kinsey were at the Rockefeller Foundation. The ideological heirs of Kinsey control sex education in public schools to this day.

Yes, it all ties together in the corporate interests of those seeking to destroy that "moral and religious people" for fun and profit.

75% of NYC's people are insane, most of the rest of them are morons, and then there's DeBlasio.

Nothing can save the place short of a tsunami.

Interesting that the main fallout of the “Black Lives Matter” movement seems to be more black-on-black murders.

It’s almost like Margaret Sanger is out there somewhere orchestrating it all.

He obeyed the idiot mayor and scrapped Stop & Frisk which was hurting people’s feelings. Now people are literally hurting and as Koch might have said, the people must be punished.

Everyone mocks the naked emperor, but there is a special seething hatred for those that continue to fuel the emperors delusions.

Correction:
DiBlazio was elected in a low turnout election and received the votes of 15% of registered voters. Only about 25% of registered voters participated.

Say 5% of the population are thugs. In rural Montana those people do not impact much the lives of other. But in NYC 5% is over 400K. One person can mess up the lives of dozens of others. That is why for urban areas I am for law and order if that means Constitutional rights are bent, for example, stop and frisk, then I am all for it.

The last time I was in NYC was in 1977, when the Young Americans for Freedom held their annual conference at the Statler Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan (I think it’s now called the Hotel Pennsylvania). Times Square was lined with pornography shops and all of the subway cars were covered with graffiti. When the conference was over, I was glad to get out of there.

It doesn’t look like that anymore. Rudy really cleaned up the city. You should go back and visit.
