Diplo-speak would characterize as a ‘frank discussion’.

‘Big Stalingrad’

In this case the two sides can kill each other as long as they want.

This is one time where I side with Putin.

He’d have my blessing to make Istanbul, Constantinople again.

This shows how complex a mess is the Middle East. Putin is wrong on so many issues, but he is right about Erdogan and ISIS.

Let’s see. US is supporting Turkey against Syria. Russia is supporting Syria. What could go wrong?

So Putin dreams of another Stalingrad? He might want to look up the casualty figures on that one, and not the cooked-book Stalinist ones. The Germans lost, but the Russians lost more men, which they didn’t mind. And the nearly-forgotten simultaneous operation farther north, where the mighty Zhukov got his ass handed to him.

Christian Russia has always been the bulwark against Islam in the Middle East. The United States? We only found out about Christians in the Middle East six months ago. Anyway, they’re not real Christians by American standards. But Israel will take us by the hand and tell us what to do, so it’s all good.

Great. And Obama is dragging the US into the middle of Stalingrad in support of our rebel forces.
