The Germans lost, but the Russians lost more men, which they didn’t mind. And the nearly-forgotten simultaneous operation farther north, where the mighty Zhukov got his ass handed to him.
Christian Russia has always been the bulwark against Islam in the Middle East. The United States? We only found out about Christians in the Middle East six months ago.
