CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (Jan. 14, 2008) The first major snowfall of the New Year blankets the USS Constitution. Despite the weather "Old Ironsides," remained open for free public tours. At 210 years-old, USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world, manned by 67 active-duty United States Sailors and visited by nearly half a million visitors annually. Thanks, Buckley ANGB was my last duty station where I retired from active duty, 1998. This was before it became an active duty Air Force base after they closed Lowry AFB which was closed with complements of Pat Schroeder, good riddance to her. Excellent assignment.

I did indeed Sally Forth today - Morning temps were in the 80's, but by the time I left the office at 6:00 p.m. the temperature was in the low 90's. Trains were working - with A/C. The only problem with the evening trip was that we were stuck behind a slow moving freight train.
