I hate be cyncical - but has this guy really seen the light or has he looked at the numbers and thought “Oh goody, I can vote No and make it look like I support Israel because we have the votes for the treaty”?
A great question.
One that is answered by the level of effort that Mr. Israel applies to changing the minds of his fellow democrats to vote against that Iran deal.
And he should be trying to change the mind of the highest ranking Jewish Senate democrat, Chuck Schumer
Maybe, but I give him credit for coming out and saying it clearly and not hemming and hawing trying to hide.
