Also 750,000 new immigrants every year is too high for current needs. My immigration plan would allow only those immigrants whose skills are in short supply in US. If they do not have those skill, they must bring $1 million per each member of family to be eligible. New Zealand require you to bring $1.5 million per family (spouse+kids only).
I live 15 minutes from Mexico in San Diego. We have the wall. In some places double walls and in some triple walls with stadium lighting, motion sensors and drone flights.
Illegals can go around the wall via our 70 miles of oceanfront beaches and the cartels build tunnels under the walls.
Walls can only do so much to “secure the border.” The United States has 12,000 miles of ocean shoreline.
