The unwritten rule in monster movies is not to show the whole monster until at least halfway in so the audience feels a growing sense of dread.
It didnt work that way Thursday night. Donald Trump appeared onstage the second the debate started.
He stumbled out of the gate, refusing to pledge to support the Republican nominee and leaving open the door that he might run as an independent in the general election.
He didnt just say it; he said it with his patented obnoxious, egotistic high-school swagger.
When Megyn Kelly threw at him a half-dozen insulting things hes said over the years about women statements no self-respecting conservative parent would let his or her son make about a young woman Trump laughed it off and attacked Kelly, beloved by much of the audience.
This is what Trump does: When people challenge him, he calls them stupid idiots. Anyone watching had to ask themselves: Honestly, how can a man with this temperament lead America? Negotiate budgets, make sober national security decisions, host state dinners?

LMAO these RINOs and DEMs are scared shitless of him, its hilarious.
I love the smell of socialist fear in the morning.
Smells like...patchouli and poop.
Another MSM drama queen.
Hah! I just looked at the poll Drudge put up post debate. ALL thr Governors, Bush, Christie, Kasich, and Walker ranked at the very bottom.
Oh man, I’m still laughing my head off. What a great headline and that picture with the hair, too much!
Oh ya, and Huckabee. LOL
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!
The most compelling message I got from the debate was this:
Megyn Kelly needs to be unemployed ASAP.
The next time America sees her hateful leftist face, it should be at Subway when she is making us a sandwich.
In other words, Donald was Donald. That’s what many are counting on.
I think that debate was a total waste of time last night. Nothing new came out of it. Nothing new regarding candidate positions anyway. Other than basic entertainment value, the American public was not served in any way.
It was just a big “gotchya” orgy for the moderators.
Don’t forget the pesto!
“statements no self-respecting conservative parent would let his or her son make about a young woman”
Trump made un-PC statements in the context of a reality TV show. Clinton got actual blow jobs in the White House and raped women.
Sheesh...
I would disagree..
I keep hearing this from Trump supporters...but let’s be honest...if you fear someone, do you keep them front and center in the public eye? Or, do you ignore them?
The media loves Trump for a variety of reasons...but the candidate they fear the most? The Junior Senator from TX.
LOL, LOL, LOL!! Trump is using some liberal tactics. (Shame on him! (sarc)).
Very astute.
“He stumbled out of the gate, refusing to pledge to support the Republican nominee”
That didn’t look like a stumble to me. He said it would depend on who the republican nominee is if it’s not him. If he approves of the nominee he would support them. It’s become very clear that if you are the party nominee, you are bought and paid for by the ‘party’.
“Trump laughed it off and attacked Kelly, beloved by much of the audience.”
She’s not sounding like she’s beloved if you read the comments on her FB.
‘He ridiculously claimed the Republican Party is only talking about illegal immigration because of him. ‘
That is true.
Pre-debate, a couple of radio guys warned that Megyn and pals had some kind of ambush cooked up for Trump.
Guess the "pledge" thing was it ..... it was lovingly crafted, the radio guys said, for Trump.
I think I heard someone talking to Mike Gallagher about the planned rude reception; also heard some similar comments on Mike Berry's show, that the moderators (playing God again, picking losers and trying to tilt the billiard table) were going to get on Trump and bait him.
He has also said the same things about men. Who among us hasn't called at least one woman a fat slob? The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of fat slobs of both sexes.
Megyn Kelly sure looked ugly last night. Behind all that make up and bleached blond hair is a woman who is no more attractive than Rosy O'Donnell.
That is true.
Flatly-true bump. He broke the ice. Ted Cruz had been saying some of the same things, and Rick Santorum, but the MSM had iced them both and was ignoring the hell out of them, which is S.O.P. for Journolisters trying to freeze out a politician or an issue.
Megyn Kelly evidently likes Jeb Bush getting forced down her throat but I for one do not.
