Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Legitimizes ‘War On Women’ In Question To Trump
Breitbart ^ | 8/7/15 | Alex Swoyer

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly — who has been praised by The New York Times for being a fair and tough journalist — went after GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in the beginning of the primetime GOP presidential primary debate on Thursday. However, when the news anchor questioned the real estate mogul, she legitimized the “war on women” mantra used by the Democratic Party to attack Republicans.

Kelly asked, “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides. In particular when it comes to women, you’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals…”

Trump jokingly interrupted, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

Kelly, instead of moving on with her question, decided to take a dig in, “No, it wasn’t.”

She tried to continue asking the question, but the crowd was applauding in appreciation of Trump’s joke.

Kelly lost a lot of points with that obvious attack question. But she got it right back as she deserved. Good for Trump.

Please. Asking a candidate to explain ungentlemanly phrases does not legitimize any “war on women”.

It goes to how he treats people. I’m not a fan of Megyn Kelly, but the witch hunt here is ridiculous.

Trump treats everyone like he starred in “Horrible Bosses”. Voters can judge accordingly if that’s the personality style they want running their country and above all, its military.

The word bimbo comes to mind. Maybe Freudian because your name is jimbo. Look at all the fake blondness. And who ever spelled their name Megyn?

True. But when she asked the question, she stated that there was a war on women, as if it were simply a fact. She didn't qualify it with so-called or alleged or anything like that. It's the same as people who talk about global warming as if it simply is, not that it is postulated, feared, or theoretical.

Megan Kelly is a dunce. I am done with her. She is a real mixed up person and that I cannot stand.

Rupert must have a water tower filled with peroxide on the roof of the Fox News building :)

She’s not a dunce, she is intelligent, in a “book smart” way at least. She’s also a good debater, and when she is pointed at the right target can be very impressive at shutting them down.

However, she is lacking wisdom, or perhaps some other fundamental element that causes her to have a warped view of things.

I’m listening to Rush right now, and I have no idea what the hell he is trying to say? He’s waffling back and forth on Trump??

Trump’s mistake was engaging the question. He should have just shot it down with a “there you go again...” and pivoted to a general attack on the MSM. Trump ad libing one liners on gender issues and then attacking Kelly as a woman (”bimbo”) is just dumb, dumb, dumb.

No, she said Hillary would make that accusation, and Hillary probably would. Hillary certainly wouldn’t have qualified it with any “so-called” preface. So I think the author is really splitting hairs here.

Probably like Rush’s pledge not to attack his pal Rubio, Rush isn’t going to be negative on Trump no matter what happens.

Kelly’s failure to include “so-called war on
women” like she usually does is understandable.
Trump interrupted her question in an effort to
reshape it. That probably irritated her.

I’m not implying I want Rush to be negative on Trump or anyone; I’m simply finding his observations (or whatever this is) to be completely incoherent with absolutely No direction. I’m sitting here scratching my head after listening to his first 45 minute monologue.

Again...very strange!

When she asked Trump “When did you become a republican?” he should have responded “When did you become a journalist?”

I’m a woman with my career years during the feminist invasion.

I’m so sick and tired of this woman worship that’s part of the Politically Correct culture. There’s the “women’s health” thing that’s sacred. Why? Don’t men deserve good health? Why are women special?

Men can’t make sexist remarks about females in the workplace or they’re eviscerated. But it’s OK for women.

Megyn attacked Trump for (alleged) comments about women. You can’t tell me she doesn’t dish with her girlfriends with negative cracks about men. You just know she does.

Maybe I’m an awful person and a terrible woman, but life and the workplace used to be fun back when people had a sense of humor and everything wasn’t filtered through PC. I’ve had things said to and about me which I laughed off before returning an appropriate zinger. Nobody died. I certainly didn’t die or become a social misfit because of it.

People need to lighten up — especially women.
