That scrapes the bottom of the barrel and it should really make people hate the (R)epublicrat establishment even more. These cowardly (R)epublicrats would never bring any of these weapons to bear against their alleged (D)ummycrat enemies.

The disqus comments are being purged by a moderator called Bill S., a Stalinist wannabe if there ever was one. It is now very difficult to follow along the discussion because of lots of "This comment was deleted." entries, followed by quaint little snarks from the Stalinist like "Bye!" "Door's over there, Skippy. Don't let it hit you in the tush.". I think that the most telling thing he, a RedState moderator said so far was: "We need Donald Trump to disappear.". Simple and to the point. That's what happens when you become the corrupt establishment.

They hate the outsider Trump more than they do the (D)ummycrats because even if they get a (D)ummycrat they still win. They still get their little gatherings and some invites to functions. They still get to keep up the pretense that there are two parties. With an outsider they are terrified they will not be called upon to go on CNN or Fox News ( as ridiculous as that sounds).

But this is the alleged home of the TEA Party! These people are now the enemy. Screw all ya'll. We need to get Rush and Levin to criticize these lowlife parasitic minions. The two party duopoly in action!

I think I now understand how betrayed Jefferson and Madison felt in 1798 when they saw the Machiavellian treachery and contempt for freedom that comes with power, in their case Washington, Adams and Hamilton. So I guess it should be no surprise that people of far less character like these (R)epublicrat stooges and others become the enemy with hardly a thought.

Wow, that sort of crude behavior is totally uncalled for.
People who behave that way should be ashamed of themselves.

However, the best antidote to Donald Trump is to inform
voters of his flip flops and the policy issues where he is
still liberal, and the best way to have done that would
have been to expose him to Red State questions. I am also
concerned that actions such as this one just push him
farther toward a third party run, which would be a disaster
for the GOP.

You claimed he was a misogynist for the 'blood' comment. You cannot see in to the mans heart. Many people (including many women Carly & Katie P) thought your accusation was absurd especially when you didn't ask him to clarify. You are no more perceptive than me, my wife, my mother in law, my sisters in law (not Trump supporters BTW) or numerous other people I know that disagree with you. Most ppl know exactly who Trump is. He's a bombastic populist. He is an American Icon. There are people in the race who are more qualified than Trump. But right now he is ringing the bell and pulling people into politics. I know waitresses, bartenders, corrections officers and Federal Contractors who have initiated conversations with me about how much they like Trump. Romney couldn't buy them with a billion dollars. Trump got them for free.
Bottom line is its not up to you or any other media figure to limit peoples voting options using personal destruction. You want to talk about his policies ? Go for it.. His temperament? That's fair game. But when you falsely accuse a decent man of the filth that you suggested you get hate mail. In my neighborhood you get a lot worse.
So apologize to Trump, Erick. Then we can recalibrate. Until then you will wear this incident like a scarlett letter and you deserve every bit of the grief you get."

So let me add a suggestion of my own, Erick besides a major mea culpa, you MUST GET RID OF the moderators Bill S and Neil Stevens and commenters gbenton and JSobieski right away. They have done untold damage in killing accounts of commenters and chasing away countless others. I have rarely seen anything like this. Even DUmmieland and DailyKOS are bastions of free speech compared to RedState. These people are incapable of realizing the world is bigger than their little RedState bubble. The Reagan coalition would have been aborted in the womb if such Stalinists like them had been around at the time.

Here is an interesting case study, a look at the blatant censorship of that thoughtful commenter called "DonnyLateNight" at RedState, who had been there for many years.

In addition to his excellent posted comment ( text saved above in #70 ), he had also placed an article up in his "diary" containing the comment in full, entitled: 'Erick Erickson owes Trump an apology' which the Stalinist moderator also sanitized! ( see cached copy ).

But get this. What the totalitarian moderator Bill S did is really despicable. He is so hell-bent on destroying this bastion of free speech and conservatism, he deleted the commenter DonnyLateNight's excellent article ( leaving in its place a terse "'bye." ), but then also retitled the article and the webpage ( "No he doesn't." ). Here's is all that is left now, minus the advertisements ...

Amusingly, he could not physically alter the URL which still is visible in the address bar in that screenshot. Not so amusing is his unapologetically fascist comment ...

Once again I implore everyone to re-read that original commenter's post to verify for yourself that it certainly did not merit any such action. In fact it is in direct keeping with the topic of this article, posted by Erick himself and very constructive and honest. The moderator literally took it on himself to decide for Erick that he does NOT need to apologize, and decided Erick didn't even need to see the suggestion.

I hope some people can get this summary to Erick to see for himself. As bad as his behavior has been, he is likely to make peace with Trump at some point. However this totalitarianism done under his name is beyond the pale. These moderators and several commenters are far worse than anything they imagine about Trump. It is a classic Epic Fail.
