Donald Trump fires back at Carly Fiorina
CBS News ^ | August 9th, 2015 | By Reena Flores

Bombastic billionaire Donald Trump is leveling his criticisms at fellow Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, saying she has "zero chance" at winning the GOP nomination.

"I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache," Trump said Sunday in a Twitter post.

His denunciation of Fiorina marks a fast turnaround from three days ago, when Trump told Fox News that he thought she had been "an effective debater."

Trump's recent tweet continues a battle between Trump and the tech executive that began Friday, when Trump implied Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly asked sharp questions because she was hormonal with "blood coming out of her wherever."

He is the one who said she was great during the debate and could see her president. Now he says that’s not true.

She was great during the debate, there is no doubt about that.

But alas, time goes by......and the truth comes out.

That is why I can't believe so many jump on band wagons so soon, yet to only be disappointed down the road.

Seems no one learns.......then some use it against others as a weapon.

I also was initially impressed with Carly - in spite of what appeared to me a flip and rehearsed slam at Trump - and now have changed my mind, especially after her slam at Cruz.

Yep. And the joke is that the poster contains the lyrics to his big hit. It’s not actually serious nor a jab at any given politician.

"Cruz is a conservative statesman"

Is it not entirely on Cruz to beat his competition?

So supporting Walker is liberal? Ok I accept it. You seriously are one deranged person. And you have zero idea what a liberal is if you think Walker is a liberal.

Trump has used up his 15 minutes. He should take a long walk off a short pier. Trump is only in this at the behest of Bill Clinton to throw sand in the gears of Hillary’s Republican rivals. He has never been a serious contender.

I want to see Cruz in the big chair.

And Carly attacking a fellow lib has it’s advantages. But it is ALSO taking the spotlight off the issues and once again creating reality TV spectacles for ugly people.

So there is a downside as well.

I agree that the attacks on Trump do seem to violate Reagan’s commandment. And while I’m no Trump backer, I have no doubt the GOPe has indeed set out the orders to take him out. Any threat to Jeb’s coronation must be disposed of.

That said, Trump is not doing himself any good. He wants to stick up for himself and counterpunch. Great. But it reminds me of a situation that a friend and I talked about a few years back. Brandon Phillips of our suffering Cincinnati Reds called the St. Louis Cardinals players a bunch of whiners. He comes into the batter’s box to start the game, and the Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina starts, well whining, and an onfield brawl breaks out.

This is kind of the same thing. Megyn Kelly, whether she should have done it or not, asks him if past dealings with women will make it easy for Hillary (or whomever) to ramp up the “war on women meme”.

So now here Trump is saying, “That’s not fair, that’s not me.” And it may not be. Yet here he is as well continuing to rant about Megyn Kelly, to rant about Carly Fiorina, and yeah, Chris Wallace. But he’d better darn well be prepared and his supporters better darn well be prepared to realize that if he’s going to carry on for days in long drawn out battles with women, whether it’s accurate or not, and whether he started it or not, it WILL be portrayed as Donald Trump’s war on women. Particularly if he keeps getting into these skirmishes. And yeah, he’s still doing well in the polls so maybe it will hurt him and maybe it won’t. But that WILL be the Democratic party narrative if he’s still in the race running as a Republican late in the game.

Yes.

Which is what supporting any lapdog of the USCOCGOP is. Liberal. Fully.

The “slam at Cruz” was from two years ago. Not recently. It’s the way people operate, even here on FreeRepublic. They contort and twist facts to fit their agenda.

I am no longer a Scott Walker fan because of one particular poster who consistently criticizes other candidates with vague and untrue accusations. This poster is a big Scott Walker supporter. He is such a liar, I cannot support Walker anymore if that is the type of person Walker attracts.

Cruz can’t break out because Donald is sucking out all the oxygen.

FRiend, the election is 15 months out, that is an eternity in politics.

This time next year is going to be a whole different world!

In the mean time, wait, watch, and see what happens....it is the best way to learn what is REALLY going on.

"He has never been a serious contender"

He's one of 3 or 4 who have the White House in sight.

And that's pretty serious.

Reagan’s 11th commandment applied when Republicans were content to sit in the back of the bus for 40 years while the Democrats drove the nation over the cliff. If a few patriots had had the courage to protest the desecration of the Constitution then, we wouldn’t have Obama singlehandedly defeating America now.

Yes there is and the sooner it’s over with the better. But Trumps a maverick not a team player. If he senses he’s losing he’ll take his marbles and go home. I don’t like Trump admittedly but I am grateful that he brought illegals to the forefront. At this point he is just giving the left ammo for the War on Women bs. Fiorina can defuse all that and run interference for Cruz. Even then winning a national election is tough for our side.

Cruz totally destroyed at commandment. It is no longer valid.

Sure, thou shall not point out when the Majority Leader lies to his fellow Republicans.

I so sure that's what Reagan had in mind, right?
