‘Legal GOOD, Illegal BAD!’ – Ted Cruz simplifies the immigration debate (3 min video)
The Right Scoop ^ | 8/9/15 | Staff

The Crooooozinator got down to brass tacks in this interview with the Shark Tank while discussing immigration and whether he had ever backed a “pathway to citizenship.”

Watch below:

Unlike most candidates who are afraid to admit their position, Cruz makes it very clear he’s against amnesty, and against a “pathway to citizenship.” And just to make it clear for all the idiots out there who are emotionally invested in blurring the lines between the two, he simplifies it down to “legal good, illegal bad!” LOL!

Keep reading—I corrected myself. Had read something to that effect and so thought she’d been a long-time senior Goldman person.

Instead she’s been less than a decade there and only promoted from VP to MD when Cruz became a Senator. Still, GS pays very well and so has presumably been the larger source of income to the household for some time.

If kowtowing to corporate welfare requests for indentured servants and making Americans train their replacements which undermines and depresses the home grown IT talent is a conservative value then the world has gone insane.

H-1B kill it.

As Ann Coulter demonstrates, it is legal immigration that will destroy the nation.

I agree. That fill in the blank American further divides us. Mexicans have a caucasian element just like America. In fact the original concept of La Raza was the blending of Caucasian and the indigenous in Mexico. Problem in Mexico the more caucasian one is the higher in social rank. It is the more indigenous which tend to come here because they are a burden to the Mexican oligarchy. But they tend to be uneducated.

” am not going to vote to cut my own throat. Sorry it is a deal breaker FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. Screw Cruz on this, he is acting like a common Chamber pimp.”

Cruz could be a valuable asset but there’s only so long that standing in the corner smiling and dancing deftly around his real stance on immigration is going to work. Increasing the illegal invasion is increasing the illegal invasion, no matter how Cruz is choosing to support doing it. We all know that every illegal allowed to come in is going to diminish jobs, benefits and resources available to Americans. Cruz needs to clarify his platform and soon. “Legal;good?” That’s the same thing Obama said when he made the Dreamers dreams come true.

There is a current shortage of qualified high-skilled workers in the U.S.

False. “There are 50% more graduates than job openings in the STEM fields.” - http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/05/16/scholars-debunk-claims-of-high-tech-workers-shortage-question-industry-s-free-pass/

Additionally, more H-1B workers mean more jobs for American workers – according to a study by the American Enterprise Institute, for every additional 100 H-1B workers, 183 jobs are created for U.S. citizens.

The AEI study on H-1B was riddled with flaws: see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3271551/posts?page=207#207 and following.

H-1B ping. Let me know if you're not on the list and want to be added (or are and want to be removed).

They did it will construction and farming in the 70-90’s. Replace Americans with Mexicans to keep costs down. It has now gained some balance as you now have to pay them about the sane as Americans. Now they are doing it with high tech and foreigners. Soon that will balance out as well. Watch them to do it to medical next. They have already started by gutting the nurse numbers with CNS and the like. Used to you did not see a foreign doctor now you have to search to find an American.

They are almost done giving away our country.

They not only pay these foreigners less but the same government which enacted the HB1 charade also enacted importing about 1,000,000 people every year legally.

And the same government then tells us somehow we have big time shortages in engineering, computer science, physics sectors etc?

All this while tens of millions more pour in illegally, all aided and abetted and sponsored by the same government?

No one capable of critical thought buys any of this.

Thank you. I have a study from Jeff Sessions detailing the falacies promoted by corporatists like Rubio and Cruz ready to post when I can get to my computer.

I have a hard time underdtanding why these Freepers like 2nd Division fight this battle for
Cruz. He is totally shot downonthe issue. Cruz also wants more increases in other visas. We are drowning in immigrants who don’t speak the culture. It is destroying us and opposition has nothing to do with nativism or racism. It is the survival of the best of Western Civilization at stake.

Admittedly, we have to get on our collective knees before nature’s God and turn from leftist Maxist inspired sexual immorality divorce, abortion, immersion in porn and video games and economic greed to save this darkened city on the hill, but we are a country undr God and we can do it.

Why do you bother with these folks? Ignore them, they’ll go away.

No we won't...Perhaps this is a ploy for Cruz to get the Chamber of Commerce and big business on his side...No one can seem to answer, or is willing to answer how this is good for the average American...

So don't be shy...Tell us how this is good for the average FReeper...

If Americans would go to college in large numbers in engineering, computer science, physics and other STEM type subjects, this wouldn’t be a big problem, but they don’t.

Nonsense...There are plenty of engineers flippin' burgers at fast food joints...

And you don't have to look hard at all to find American engineers who have been replaced by foreign H1B people who are paid half the wages and no benefits...

I’ve yet to hear how any LEGAL immigrant(s) are a ‘good thing’ (w/ the current economy and welfare state)...when we don’t even ATTEMPT to have them assimilate?!

How ‘bout sanctuary cities? The ‘more than English’ phone/documents/voting?

What exactly was wrong with closing the borders for ~40 years after the great immigration rush that it’s not viable today???

Cruz hasn’t said or done anything that would lead me to think that.

His prolific fundraising from open borders extremists is troubling. He has gone out of his way to beg for dollars from some of the biggest names in open borders advocacy — Sheldon Adelson, Paul Singer, the Koch bothers. Wall St. money has flooded Cruz’s campaign and all know where those donors stand on immigration.

In Before the H1-B nutters.

Ah, yes, those of us who have been displaced by wage-slaves from India, and have seen the cultures of our hometowns turned upside-down, are now "nutters".

You out yourself more and more every day, 2DV.

If Americans would go to college in large numbers in engineering, computer science, physics and other STEM type subjects, this wouldn’t be a big problem, but they don’t. They major in 13th Century French Literature, Womyn’s Studies, Social Work or P.E. We have to find technical workers somewhere. And the Disney example isn’t typical, which I’m sure you know.

>2DV, we DID go to college in large numbers for engineering, CS, physics, and other STEM degrees. Then we got dumped for being good loyal American workers.

Now our children see what happened to those who sacrificed so much during their college years, and they are correctly dissuaded from going into those majors, as they just MIGHT like to be able to pay a mortgage on a house.
