Walker was too timid in the debate. I like him, but he showed no fire in his belly.

Walker was too timid in the debate. I like him, but he showed no fire in his belly. He was trying to play it safe. That's the big problem I have with the state of politics today. Nothing but carefully scripted soundbites and a "play it safe" approach.
That's why so many of us like seeing Donald Trump just blowing things up and breaking all the rules of comportment and such.
If Trump is forced out of this race, then we can expect this kind of timidity going forward from all Republicans and we can forget about ever getting back into the White House.

Walker is a planner and a do-er. He doesn't put his fire on display. Where Trump is pure choleric, Walker is pure phlegmatic. Phlegmatics can be very good generals.
Part of the reason Walker beat the recall was that he could NOT be portrayed as the combination of Sasquatch and Hitler that the lefties tried to paint him. It drove them crazy. Like it or not, a guy like Bork or Buchanan COULD be painted that way.
After what he went through in Madison, he satnds tall. There's fire there.
He's my Plan B for Cruz, but so far, things are on schedule.
