Hillary 'thought it'd be fun' to attend Trump's wedding

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Monday she thought it would be "fun" to go to Donald Trump's wedding a decade ago, pushing back the businessman's claim that she went because of donations he had made.

"I didn't know him that well," Clinton said during a press conference in New Hampshire.

"I mean, I knew him. I knew him and I happened to be planning to be in Florida and I thought it'd be fun to go to his wedding, because it's always entertaining," Clinton said.

"Now that he's running for president, it's a little more troubling," Clinton added.

Trump at last Thursday's GOP debate on Fox News said Clinton went to his wedding because of his past donations to the Clinton Foundation and former secretary of State."With Hillary Clinton, I said, ‘Be at my wedding.’ And she came to my wedding. You know why? She had no choice because I gave."

In an interview the following morning on the "Today" show, Trump said it was "very nice" the Clintons attended his wedding and he meant his remark as a joke.

Trump has donated at least $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, which has faced intense scrutiny amid Clinton's nascent 2016 campaign, and Bill and Hillary Clinton were photographed at his 2005 wedding to Melania Knauss in Palm Beach.

Clinton said Monday that Trump appears to be having the "time of his life" running for president.

Ah, but there’s no real friendship there. It’s just a business arrangement... yeah, that’s it!

I see it one of two ways. Either Trump rented her like an artificial plant for effect or she crashed the wedding, being the political wh-re that she is...........plus the free booze!

In an interview the following morning on the "Today" show, Trump said it was "very nice" the Clintons attended his wedding and he meant his remark as a joke.

The problem, of course, is that he made his "joke" in response to a serious, non-"gotcha" question during the debate. Here is the full context:

TRUMP: I will tell you that our system is broken. I gave to many people, before this, before two months ago, I was a businessman. I give to everybody. When they call, I give.

And do you know what?

When I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them, they are there for me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So what did you get?

TRUMP: And that’s a broken system.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What did you get from Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi?

TRUMP: Well, I’ll tell you what, with Hillary Clinton, I said be at my wedding and she came to my wedding.

Trump has made the fact that he is wealthy and self-financed, and thus immune from influence-peddling, a central issue in his campaign. Then, in the debate, he reiterated that, saying that after he donates to politicians, "I call them, they are there for me." The follow-up question he got was a natural (and obvious) follow-up, and a legitimate point--if Trump is going to say that his money has allowed him to influence Washington politicians, then let's hear some examples. But instead, Trump deflected with a joke.

“dumped his wife”

He has done that several times-he kicked wife #1-Ivana-to the curb for the Georgia leech, then her for another one-I’ve lost track-which one was the East European porn star?

He isn’t any different from Bill Clinton, except he marries the trophy mistresses-no wonder the Clintons were at the wedding...

“Well, his trophy wife has done lesbian porn”

A fine example of a possible future First Lady. BTW, where is the missus anyway?

“I didn’t know him that well,”

I doubt she “knows” anyone that well. Other than what is in her stash of files. And I doubt she wants anyone to know her that well because they would discover that she actually is an evil female dog (insert other word).

When do you know Hillary is lying.

Her mouth is moving.

If she did't expect to get into Donald wallet, she would not have attended.

It paid off to the tune of 100K for the Clinton Crime Family.

After they were criticized for taking $190,000 worth of china, flatware, rugs, televisions, sofas and other gifts with them when they left, the Clintons announced last week that they would pay for $86,000 worth of gifts, or nearly half the amount.

Their latest decision to send back $28,000 in gifts brings to $114,000 the value of items the Clintons have either decided to pay for or return.

"I didn't know him that well," Clinton

That's what Hillary says about anyone who is shaky and has made significant donations to her.

Trust Hillary?
Helllllll no!

My thoughts on Trump-
He is a JERK, but he is funny.
He is a showman.
He is a narcissist, (but so is Obama).

He IS coming across as a whiny brat with the Twitter jabs.
He could have handled that entire exchange and aftermath so much better.

When Meghan Kelly made the comment about him making ugly comments about women in the past, he should have said something like this-

“I did have a very public feud with Rosie O, which SHE started and I probably made those comments and more. I am known for standing up for myself and not staying silent whenever someone insults me whether they are male or female.”

Whenever MK reminded him of a comment he made to a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, he should have said, “Well, that was a TV SHOW! Some of it is reality, and a LOT of it is scripted. We say and do outlandish things to try to get viewers and generate buzz.” Then he should have followed that with his comments about political correctness, which I LOVED.

He should have made one or two Twitter comments afterward along the lines of “Great show tonight” “I look forward to the next one and hope I will be asked about the REAL ISSUES facing this country!”

I am on the fence about him though. Knowing that he has donated to the Clintons in the past and is/was a DEMOCRAT makes me think we are being set up. Either the dems have the ultimate “wolf in sheep’s clothing,” ensuring that a dem will be the next POTUS, even if he is on the Republican ticket, or we are being set up for a Perot-type scenario.
