Donald Trump says Rand Paul 'reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain'

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) is trying to intensify a fight with current Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Paul's campaign on Monday announced a conference call with reporters specifically dedicated to Trump. During that call, Paul slammed the real-estate magnate for conducting a substance-less presidential campaign and making derogatory comments about women.

"The truth telling is bluster, the truth-telling is non-sequitur, self-aggrandizement, but is there really anything substantive coming out of saying that people are fat, people are stupid?" Paul said of Trump.

Calling Trump a "fake conservative," Paul listed off the issues where Trump has agreed with Democrats in the past, including supporting the 2008 bank bailouts, supporting some stricter measures on gun ownership, and saying that a single-payer healthcare system "could have worked."

Paul's broadside caused Trump to respond with one of his own Monday evening. Writing on Twitter, the real-estate developer declared that Paul was "truly weird" and "reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain"

“Actually Trump should get into the pissing matches. It’s a smart way of preparing the battlefield and intimidating his opponents because he is better at it than they are.”

Not only that, but it’s sucking the oxygen out of every other candidates campaign, because the media loves mentioning his bombastic statements and inviting him to their shows to finally get him to apologize (which he will never do), and getting even more coverage.

As long as the people back him, he’ll be fine, and so far he’s only going up in the polls. Where he may trip up is if he comes out with a position on an issue that the conservatives abhor. At that point things will start going south for him.

You’re right. He needs to stop hitting back, when he’s being attacked. It’s not helping his numbers, at all.

To those who deride Trump for coming late to Conservatism, I’ll say better late than never. To those who distrust his intentions or motivations I can only recommend they read Matthew 20:1–16.

Trump has knocked out Rick Perry with ridicule instead of debate.

Rick Perry stops paying 2016 campaign staff in South Carolina

Yep, that pretty much sums up Rand Paul: Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain.

People like Nick complain no matter who it is getting the attention. Because it isn’t him.

Specificly, how is trumps liberal leanings any different then what the crying cheeto and the Post Turtle from Kentucky did to us after they campaigned as conservatives and once in control pushed nothing by liberal policy?

I have to agree with you. I’m certainly not a Rand Paul fan, but he certainly isn’t stupid. He is a doctor after all - and that was a cheap shot from Trump. I really thought he would lay off the name calling, and he DOES not need to address every thing everyone says. It’s starting to grate on my nerves. And, NO, I won’t get used to it - I want it to stop and for him to act with some class. I sure don’t mind him hitting back when it’s warranted, but, this isn’t hitting back - it’s like a school yard fight. Very juvenile.

He needs to stop hitting back

You don't get it. It's not about stop hitting back, that's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm saying that Trump has made his mark by hitting back. Now it's time to talk about the issues and hit your opponents hard on them, and tell the people what you would do differently.

- Start talking about Jeb's support for criminal illegals, Common Core, and Planned Parenthood.

- Talk about Rand pandering to the black underclass and poverty pimps like Sharpton, and Trump can contrast it with the admiration and support he has from blacks in the music and entertainment industry.

- Talk about how America needs a warrior, not an "Executive" like Walker.

There's no need for Trump to get into what is the equivalent of flame wars here on FR.

I'm a huge Trump fan and liked what he did from the get-go.

He talked about sanctuary cities and illegals - that put Democrats on the defensive and put the issue on the map for Republican voters. I guarantee you if the GOP nominee supports any form of amnesty, they will lose in a landslide as the base stays home.

That's what I want Trump to do. Talk about the issues and change the narrative away from crap like "War on Women."

Think not for a second, Kerry and Biden (maybe even Gore) will be in this race. I do hope you come around. Ted Cruz is the real deal. I live in Texas and stand by him 100%.
Perry was a Dewhirst guy and has always been against Ted. I sure hope Perry both drops out and endorses his state senator before the SEC primary because otherwise, it’s gonna be real embarrassing.

Donald Trump - Pro-Abortion since January 2015

JANUARY 2015

First he states he is in support of Abortion for Rape, Incest and Health of the Mother.

Then Trump was asked about a abortion by a woman being pregnant, and not from rape or incest, and Trump answered that it depends on how far along the baby is.

“It depends when”

INTERVIEWER: “So say a woman is pregnant, and it is not in any of those exceptions [rape/incest]categories, and she chooses to have an abortion” TRUMP: “it depends when, it depends when”
