Well then, guess we need to militarize our police. Makes it so simple.

“The Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit civil rights organization, has described the “Oath Keepers” as a “fiercely anti-government, militaristic group,”

Isn’t that what the KKK, Black Panthers, La Raza and Black Lives Matter are also?

These seem to be provocateurs. Probably planted by the Justice Department.

SPLC would have been the first moan about the anti-government patriots that won the nation’s independence. I wonder what they SPLC’s view on anti-government groups that opposed slavery???

In 1858 John Brown after causing a disturbance was killed at Harper’s Ferry, Virginia. Three years later the Civil War began. In 2014 Michael Brown caused a disturbance and was killed in Ferguson, Missouri...... Just wondering.

If the government can’t do its job and protect the people, the people will protect themselves.

It’s o.k. to carry guns in the street if you don’t know what you are doing (thugs), or if you plan on running away at the first sign of trouble (police) but if you know what you are doing and plan on winning any potential conflict, that is considered “inflammatory”.

“...adding that police would work with county prosecutors to see if the men had broken any laws.”—With all the definite law-breaking going on there this weekend, don’t the county police and prosecutors have enough to do already?

Someone has to protect law abiding citizens since the politicians are telling the police to standdown

Isn’t it racist to suggest that 4 armed White men are a superior force to both the police and any rioters of any race who probably are also armed?

The Southern Poverty Law Center should be the next target of “patient one” on “The Last Ship”.

They told reporters on the street that they were in Ferguson to protect a media organization.

And guess what? Their reporter did NOT get his @$$ kicked!

This is what the left uses to label individuals who simply maintain that they will keep the oath they took to defend the constitution.
The Southern Poverty Law Center described the "Oath Keepers" as a "fiercely anti-government, militaristic group."

Yep, the left and their adherants believe anyone who supports, defends, and seeks to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution is "anti-government."

And as to this:

"Their presence was both unnecessary and inflammatory,"

Oh really? They say has gunfire rings out in the night from criminals.

How can one be “fiercely anti-government” yet a Protector of the Constitution?

But it’s ok to pay blacks $5000 a piece to riot.

The city and state must be run by Democrats.

I am for Constitutional Carry, meaning I believe that the Constitution is the only permit I need to carry however I want. With that said, there is a time and a place for open carry.

Recently, in my hometown in Texas, we had a Confederate monument vandalized with graffiti. The next day, some 20-somethings showed up with AR-15s and handguns. I approached them and just stood there. They asked who I was with and I replied that I was simply a citizen, but one who believed they had every right to be carrying openly.

They thought that was cool until I told them that I thought they were being irresponsible, confrontational, inflammatory and were stirring the racial pot. They went on to say that the people who were guarding the military recruitment centers around the country would probably disagree with me. I asked what they were guarding. They pointed at the monument. Incredulously, I asked if they thought “guarding” a piece of granite was the same as guarding a human life. They didn’t know what to say and never showed up again.

It seems to me that these Oath Keepers were basically doing the same thing. If they had pulled the trigger last night protecting anyone other than themselves, I’m not sure they would have gone home at the end of the night. Self-protection is one thing, carrying around an AR-15 during a racially charged gathering is something completely different.

Now when the time comes to protect ourselves, our families, our country, our freedom, our way of life.......that too will be something completely different. I’ll be all in.....

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

In short, the Oathkeepers ARE “the militia” as mentioned in the 2d amendment, doing what adults have been supposed to be doing since before our republic was established.

Have YOU donated to them yet?
