They put Cruz in there to give themselves cover.
I have noticed the weasels that have been serial Cruz bashers since the shutdown now all of sudden are slinging Cruz’s praises to avoid being labeled part of the establishment as they try to take Trump down.
Once Trump is out, they would laugh and direct all fire at Cruz. These people are so predictable.

You’re exactly right and I wish the Cruz supporters would see this. The anointed one is Jeb. The RNC/GOPe, big media, and big $$$ all want Jeb.
That’s why I say the only way Trump/Cruz gets to the WH is to join forces and run Independent. They will all lose to Bush in the end anyway. And Bush will lose to Hillary in the end anyway.
We have nothing to lose and at least a chance to get our country back.
