I attended a series of talks, featuring Laffler, at Austin’s Texas Public Policy Foundation. He was great. Can’t wait to see what this Dream Team hammers out, for Trump. Kudlow has been complimenting Trump’s tax plan (which Trump wrote about in his 2011 book), lately.

The decision to put it on the table would have coincided with Ford's decision to announce it to the public and the UAW.
In other words, the decision was made yesterday or today.
You are correct in that plants are planned over long periods of time.
But negotiations are real time.
I’ve seen that. I also read that these SAME donors are supporting BOTH Hellary AND Bush. What does that tell you?
Add to that, the BushPACs will do everything they can to keep the likes of Perry, Graham, Huckabee, Kasich and Rubio in, to split the vote.
So you have to ask all the candidates including Hillary if there is not a double standard.
Trump contributes to democrats and republicans as a businessman.
The Republican donors contribute to democrats too and that is ok. Why the double standard. Shouldn’t the candidates’ motives be questioned if they are accepting money from donors that also contribute to democrats?

It also helps Ohio that we’re cutting lots of subsidies for business here in Michigan.
Trump said in an interview today that he would surgically remove areas of NAFTA that are crippling us, fi not outright repeal.
“Sure, sure keep telling yourself and you might start believing your ignorant drivel. He spotlighted that plant in Mexico and watch Trump stop them from building it before he is President.”
Why do you feel it is necessary to call, those that think it is due to pressure from Mr. Trump, names? Don’t those people have a right to express themselves without your approval?

Sounds like the sort of thing Obama would believe a president can do with a wave of his hand. If he said that he’d open negotiations with Canada and Mexico to revise or replace NAFTA then that would be credible. It would take years to work out with no guarantee of success, but hey, it would look good on a tee shirt. It’s this kind of simplistic red meat rhetoric, which sounds exciting but doesn’t have much substance, that puts some of us off Trump’s candidacy. Even when we enjoy the red meat as much as you.
A President has to lead by setting objectives. There would be bipartisan support for repealing NAFTA. If it is like other trade agreements, changes can be made by Congress and the President.
Health care in Canada is single payer at the Province level, not federal. Each Province sets the details of the program and costs based on outlines from the CA federal law.
It's expensive as hell and the quality and hassle factor of the care are burdensome. This is generally below USA standard and is what Obama care is designed to drive us towards.
The cost is born by employer contribution and payroll deduction with lower income subsidized. There is zero shopping for base insurance as it is single payer as I described above. You can purchase supplemental health insurance that covers many items that are medical “options” and thus not fully covered or maybe not covered at all so would otherwise be at a very large cost to the consumer. In many cases, the most advanced medical procedure and pharmaceuticals are effectively not available in CA so if you're affluent enough, you go to another country for sophisticated health procedures.
