Long, long ago, in a software galaxy far, far away, a date field left null or undefined sometimes produced erroneous and or unpredictable results in that particular field in the database. I think most of that got worked out during the last era or two. Not saying the posts in this case are not weird.

The thread is dated 9/5/2001 12:19:58 AM EDT. But all the posts, except today's, have the Unix zero date, 4pm 12/31/1969 PST.
