“As far as Kelly being conservative or Christian, I wouldn’t really know; I don’t even watch her programs, but Trump did himself no favors by being crude toward a woman, regardless of her actions toward him. No class; no class whatsoever. And it will hurt him in the end.”

Thanks, “crude toward a woman” is close enough in my book.

Many if not most so-called “Trump supporters” on this thread (and others) say they like what he’s saying because no other Republican to date has dared talk about these issues, and now they are, and find his “no class” willingness to discuss the issues refreshing.

IMO, it’s that “no class whatsoever” that’s gotten him this far with so much support already.

Crazy Uncle Joe Biden has even less class and wants the White Mosque....

What we old-time white Americans think of as "class" comes from the history of the English class system and the elites of Christian Europe of the pre-Beatles era — most of which the Europeans have ditched in their race to Socialist suicide.

But what the younger people of this country age 18-50 have grown up with is television sitcoms, cartoons, violent movies, MTV, music videos, advertising, secular media run by non- and anti-Christians, multiculturalism, racial diversity, heavy metal, rap music, hip hop, tabloid journalism, extreme sports, internet porn and finally, Facebook, Twitter and texting. What is their context for "class"?

How many of them took religious instruction, learned at home to treat others as they would like to be treated, ate dinner with the family every night instead of junk food in the car, learned the old time courtship rituals of meeting the parents and learning manners and ballroom dancing, how many patronize classical music performances, attend museums, get married before having sex or children, have ever read an etiquette book or even write their own relatives a thank-you note for substantial gifts received?

To today's young American, "class" has devolved to "flash", "style" and "success", no matter how crass or empty of past conventions. No older candidate is going to interest their votes by sounding proper, or even by sounding well educated.

Trump is a street fighter. Does his style look like "class" to me? No, I'm old; but having worked in marketing, I'd say it looks like the style of a very marketable candidate with broad appeal to people younger than himself.
