Rand Paul Takes A Big Swing At Donald Trump. Trump’s Response Is A Stunner…

Sen. Rand Paul released an attack ad Wednesday calling into question fellow Republican candidate Donald Trump’s conservative credentials, prompting Trump to issue a lengthy response going after not only Paul the politician, but his ability, or lack thereof, to play a certain sport.

Paul’s ad, which his campaign says will play in New Hampshire and Iowa through the weekend, puts together clips of some of Trump’s past political statements, including some from a 2004 interview in which he said, “In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat.” He also contends, “It just seems the economy does better under the Democrats than Republicans.” The ad goes on to show footage of Trump saying he is a “liberal” regarding healthcare and supports universal healthcare, which came up during last Thursday’s Republican debate. Trump has said he no longer supports it.

In Paul’s ad, Trump also has very nice things to say about Bill and Hillary Clinton. He says he likes them both “a lot” and thinks Hillary is doing a “great job.” It is not clear if he is referring to her time as senator from New York or secretary of state. Trump’s response to Paul’s ad begins as one might expect from The Donald, given past statements, but then it takes an unusual turn.

What if they rarely flip flopped but whenever the rubber meets the road they just stand back and let the disaster happen?

That’s the story of most of the Republicans once they get elected. Everyone talks a good game, but in the end they seem to have other priorities.

Trump has explained his change in positions. He has explained his donations to Dems and Repubs. For a high roller in his position, his explanations make sense.

He is not scripted. He is not going out of his way to tell you what he thinks you want to hear. I would rather take a chance with him than the certainty of a RINO.

Many do not think like I do. That’s their privelige.

So when Sen Paul can’t claim the mantle of outsider, despite his ‘different kind of republican’ speech...

He deserved does to do the bidding of the pseudo liberal K Street GOPe.

Sad really.

You guys are always pulling out the RINO strawmen.

I haven’t seen one Trump critic here who isn’t supporting Ted Cruz. If Cruz wasn’t in the race, Trump might be worth a look. But Cruz is in the race and his been consistently fighting for conservatives for 10 years as a lawyer arguing for us while representing Texas and now as a Senator.

RINOs are not straw men. We are surrounded by them. Drowning in them. They’re the reason I swore I’d never vote again. Donald’s the reason I changed my mind.

Concerning Cruz. He seems to be collaborating with the other candidates, giving them free advice about Trump. It makes me suspect. He should be in it to win it for himself, not advising other candidates to leave Trump alone. A smart strategy, if he wants to win would be to quietly stay out of Trump’s way until Trump showed weakness and NOT advise other candidates to the same. Cruz is not stupid. His advice to the others is no accident. His wife saying that he would consider every other candidate on the stage for a future cabinet position is not an accident. It makes me think he is a sleeper RINO or beholden to the establishment. I would LOVE to be proven wrong because Cruz does say the right things 99% of the time. At this point, I still view him with suspicion. I know that’s not a popular view, but I gotta be honest.

By the way, Sanders drew a crowd of 15,000 here in Seattle the other day..

... And was shut down before he even started by two loudmouthed entitlement whores.

Cruz has no fangs. He's a talker, not a fighter. It's too late for a talker.

I read an article on Cruz’s wife on LameCherry blog. Things I didn’t know. She work(s) at Goldman Sachs. She is/was involved with some organization (don’t remember name)which is in step with the New World Order and she wrote an article about it. Sure, she’s not running but I’m sure she has influence with Ted. Made me nervous.

Yeah, he’s connected. But so was Donald. The operative word here is “was.”

But you have to be connected to get very far in these circles. That’s why people like Trump had to pay politicians off just to do business.

Trump is lifting the veil on all this mess.

G’nite

Who is Trump going to punch out? As far as I can tell, they’re both politicians and are engaged in the art of talking. No one’s gotten into fisticuffs yet.

Cruz is a fighter who’s argued in front of the Supreme Court on behalf of our causes. He’s filibustered Obamacare. He’s stood firm and not caved into anyone, even on issues like same-sex marriage where other Republicans have been caving.

Trump will not fight on some issues including many social or religious based. His ideology is not strong there and he will bend to whichever way popular opinion goes every time, just as he did when he first refused to let a transsexual in his beauty pageant and then after receiving criticism from the left, caved in and allowed “Jenna” to compete after all.

“Over the years positions evolve.”

Yep, it happens all the time. For Trump, it happened all at once on all of the issues in 2011 right before he decided he wanted the Republicans to make him President. Totally legit, I’m sure.
