Why? ....The student signed a contract to pay back the money.
I’ve signed contracts to buy houses and cars. I’ve had to pay all of those debts. .....I earned VA benefits that paid me $75/month when I was attending college after I left the Navy.
Why the hell should college students get a government bailout and get to walk their debts? ....Particularly, when so many of them are seeking or getting degrees that will not provide them a decent income (gender studies, black history, art history, anything in the sociology realm, etc.).
