Morning Joe: Top Dems Tired of Hillary
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/14/2015 6:45:17 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Was our restaurant table bugged? Last night over date-night dinner, my wife, a perspicacious observer of the political scene and, yes, a Bernie backer, said she sensed that Hillary's moment had passed and that people were tired of her.

Cut to today's Morning Joe, and there were Donny Deutsch, Joe Scarborough and an initially reluctant Mika Brzezinski saying much the same thing: that powerful, influential Dems have come down with a bad case of Hillary blahs. The context was talk that Al Gore might be jumping into the race.

Hillary will be spending more time with her grandchild by Thanksgiving.

I bet Bill is amused by all of this.

I wish HRC would stick around as well. She’s an absolutely terrible candidate. The more you see of her the more she lies and annoys you. She’s like the nagging wife you tune out.

I expect they’ll find ‘another Obama.’ Corey Booker possibly or a Latino would be their ideal.

Hillary as SOS was a member of the Obama Administration. This is an Obama Administration scandal rather than a Hillary's email server matter.

The number of external addresses going to and from that server is mind boggling. How many are to/from hussein@whitehouse.gov, biden@whitehouse.gov, putin@russia.ru, binladen@alquaeda.pk, etc?

As Rush pointed out yesterday, it’s irrelevant. She WILL NOT ever voluntarily quit because the Clinton Crime Family Foundation has taken too much money to buy policies in her administration. She can only be beaten or indicted, but will not quit.

And back when Rush said she wasn't really going to run for the senate etc etc

Yeah, and he has admitted he was wrong, but I think he’s right on this. They have taken hundreds of millions of dollars and there are people out there who want a ROI.

If her moment has passed, who is to blame? Obama. LOL, wouldn’t want to be him!

If Clinton and Obama get into a death match and reveal each other's skeletons, the Democrat party is finished.

I disagree. Look at what happened to Hillary's campaign in 2008--she essentially quit in a de facto manner once Barack Obama won both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary and started to go on a roll.

It is only because they are sexist and don’t sufficiently appreciate her genius. It is also her turn.

Democratic party is just a party of old rich white people. How can the rest of us relate to them? They do not have any young energetic leaders just tired, old, rich white people.

Actually, BO begin to sputter once the Rev. Wright videos came out later in the primary season. Hillary cleaned his clock here in Pennsylvania and some of the later primary states.

But, by then, his lead was too big to overcome and the witch could never deliver a knock-out punch without alienating the base.

There was almost a desperation by blacks and guilt led whites to elect a black man as president, even if he was a junior senator with not a lot of experience. Women are not desperate enough that they feel they must elect Hillary. They can wait for a better candidate.

It sounds like the Democrats aren’t “ready for Hillary” anymore. Hillary is going to make those people pay.

Some women ARE desperate to elect w woman simply because she’s a woman.....but hopefully not enough women to matter. Sometimes I am SO EMBARRASSED by my gendermates.

and so it was I think Harper Collins that gave her a fifteen million dollar ‘advance’ on her shabby junk book -— in anticipation of what??

However, once Obama decided to end his public relationship with Rev. Wright, that saved his campaign. And you can tell Wright wasn't exactly thrilled at being thrown under the bus like that....

True, be he still lost his traction afterward. The Pennsylvania Primary in late April was nearly a month after he threw Rev. Wright under the bus.

If Gore really starts moving towards running, watch how quickly John Kerry does the same. Same thing with Biden.

All three feel entitled to the office. Two of them truly believe they were screwed out of it. If any of them think there’s a shot they’ll go for it.

At that point the door opens to all sorts of Dems jumping in, with their own version of the “clown car”

You might enjoy this 1980 Democrat primary table. After April 1st, Hillary won the following primaries and caucuses: Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, South Dakota. BO won only: Guam, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana.

Notice a pattern here?

Hillary cleaned his clock here in Pennsylvania

Yep, and was strutting on stage like a peacock, along with ‘Fast Eddie’ Rendell...

The Carolina’s are calling to me first opportunity I get...

I suppose at the end they’ll come to a MAD agreement, mutually assured destruction, thus a truce. She’ll quit the race, he’ll restrain the prosecution. She gets to keep her Clinton Foundation loot, he gets to keep his legacy.
