BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz campaigned all day in Oklahoma.
The Texas senator made stops in Oklahoma City, Bartlesville and Tulsa, where he wrapped up his finial speech of the day at Union High School.
Cruz had overflow crowds at all three stops Thursday, where he told Oklahoma voters they were going to be essential in his run for the White House.
The room was packed, with people outside too late to get a seat.
Representative Jim Bridenstine said Cruz is their best hope at electing someone to change things in Washington.
Cruz met receptive crowds in Tulsa and Bartlesville, where supporters applauded as he criticized President Obama, the EPA, the IRS, the courts and republicans that won't hold the line on spending.
“We are bankrupting our kids and grandkids, and our constitutional rights are under assault each and every day,” he said.
When the campaign bus rolled into Bartlesville Wesleyan University, Cruz was wrapping up a tour of southern states he sees as critical next spring, in the nation’s second major primary.
“And the role of Oklahoma and all the other southern states is to make sure on Super Tuesday we pick a true and genuine conservative,” said Cruz.
His supporters say Cruz is that candidate.
“I think we need a man of integrity, a Christian-valued man, someone who will do what they say,” Ken Dossett said.
Keith Weston said, “I think he's got a great chance at the nomination, and he's a truthful guy, he stands for truth in Washington where there's not a lot of it.”
Susan Landers said, “So much of what are hearing from the other candidates is just fluff, they don't want to talk about real issues.”
Cruz didn't shy from issues during his hour-long talk in both cities, with questions from the audience at the end.
“I wasn't very sure about but after hearing him speak, I'm thinking, I'll give him some serious thought,” Bonita Sutton said.

Not sure I agree that Ted is the only true conservative in the race, but he does have the conservative record to back up his tawk.
I would say that Ted is a statesman. He truly does what he sayz and is truly attempting to defend the constitution.
We can agree to disagree. But the only Republican running for president who scored a 100% ACU conservative rating is Ted Cruz.
I’m Trump/Cruz, I want Cruz to do well, I want them to finish within high-five distance together! Cruz is a rock!
I’m Cruz/Fiorina because next to Trump, they will pretty much piss off all the turds in our Beautiful Country.
