My first choice is Cruz, but if it`s Trump this is getting some better.

Cruz would be wonderful, and I felt the same way, Cruz was my first choice up until about a month ago. Now I believe it would be better if Trump went first. Trump has to go first and break up the Washington Cartel and he is the only candidate in my opinion who can do it.

Cruz is a great person and a constitutional conservative, but can he truly make America great again? I don't think he can - not at this time. Let Trump go first. Then Cruz can do fine tuning after a Trump admin.

Well, I remember an article here on Free Repulbic several days ago where Todd was bragging how he was going to pin Trump to the wall. Todd said he would keep asking the same question over and over again, until he got an answer. What was unsaid, however, was what Todd would consider in answer. No doubt to Todd this would be Trump falling into his Gotcha trap, and only that. A good, well said answer would not be an answer to Todd.

In any case, Todd broadcast this, and Trump must have read or heard about, so I say Trump was ready for him. The repeated poking of Todd's shoulder was a good move, because it puts Todd on the psychological and physical defensive. And despite his brave talk in the article, he didn't keep repeating the questions.

I am flipping between Cruz and Trump almost every day.

I really, really liked that Trump went to my Senator, Jeff Session of Alabama, to get advice on immigration on Friday. There’s not a better man on immigration anywhere except perhaps our very own Kabar!

I was referring to his answer on abortion getting some better... today he said life of the mother exception was only if she was dying, not just because she had a cold

Still he does not seem to lose sleep over the unborn as Crux and most of us do.

I went back to check your sources at Hotair and Breitbart, because while I love these sites and of course Free Republic, I’m concerned that this news is only going to those who follow conservative politics.

However, I see most of those statements are derived wholesale from the NYTs, Wash Post, and USA Today, so that makes me happy. However, when I go directly to those sources, there is a TON of spin and Hillary cover-upping going on, too.

I hope Mr. and Mrs. America are getting the truth.

My gut is telling me Hillary will not survive this mess of her OWN creation, and that’s a good thing for the country. If she survives, then the government and people running it have achieved lawlessness, and God help Mr. and Mrs. America then!

I can't tell you how excited I am about Trump's position paper. It is something that those of us in grassroots immigration organizations have been advocating for years. We will now see how it resonates with the public. My only fear is that Trump is not adequately briefed on how to answer the inevitable attacks that are going to come. There will be a firestorm, but Trump can use it to his advantage.

We need to educate the public about the issue and there is no more high profile personality than Trump. Hopefully, he will rely on Sessions' advice and counsel. The GOPe hates Sessions and have treated him very badly because of his stance on immigration. It is the last subject they wanted during the 2016 campaign. They see it as a losing issue. We have been saying it's a winner.

I don’t think Ted Cruz is avoiding the shows. He doesn’t seem the type to avoid anything and he is, and should be, confident about his views and his ability to express them.

I saw on Fox where they had to mention his name because of his fairly dramatic rise in their polls.
