Cayenne pepper... stimulates/irritates the taste buds and makes them more perceptive to the other flavors.

I've found that if it's not a spicy dish and the cayenne gives it even a hint of hotness I've used too much, but a tiny bit really brings it to life.

I’ve put it in standard spaghetti sauce...just a touch. It lights it up.

I asked the chef at the local Indian restaurant how they make their hot sauce...turns out, it’s mostly cayenne pepper.

You can easily blow yourself up.
