I'm open minded on this issue. I understand that H1B workers depress wages for skilled computer people/engineers, but low-wage workers depress wages for low-skill jobs.
Why not just set a reasonable limit to legal immigration overall?
And nobody paid one bit of attention to it at all.

I am told that the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and additions thereto have been the foundation for Anchor Babies.... that seems correct since the subject never came up before that... I have been around a long time.
I can’t find the particular portion of the Act that is pertinent but believe those who insist it is the Fourteenth Amendment that permits it are throwing up smoke screens.
The ACT can be repealed... easily if public opinion is strong enough and someone brings the issue into visibilty as fixable.
No other politician has said the things that Trump has said like “deport all illegals” . Why? other politicians haven’t even said the world “deport” because all politicians are owned by big donors and lobbyists, chamber of commerce ,China , Mexico, Saudi Arabia.

I don't understand why this is such a hard concept for the GOPe to understand. According to Wikipedia, the USA gave Mexico $400 million dollars in aid in FY 2013 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_foreign_aid). Cut that in half for five years and apply the savings tohte construction of the wall, and we will have paid for the wall at Mexico's expense. In addition, I have long advocated a program that charges back the cost of medical care and the cost of incarceration for illegal aliens aganst foreign aid to the illegal alien's country of origin.
