You can make them deport themselves by cutting off the bennies and their opportunities for employment.

What about deportation?

I'd like to see something (as advocated by Cruz and others) about denying federal funds to all "refuge cities" that shelter illegals, as well as a crackdown on any and all Federal, state, and local agencies that provide social services to illegals. Then the ones who we can't catch and deport would self-deport.

Mitt Romney had two shining rhetorical moments in 2012. The first was his statement about making sure that the social safety net doesn't become a hammock. The second was his statement that if we deny illegals social services, they will self-deport. Unfortunately, he wasn't sincere about either point, he just knew they made for good campaign rhetoric.

What we need is a candidate who is serious about creating an environment where illegals really will self-deport by denying them social services and penalizing companies and individuals who knowingly hire them with more than a slap on the wrist.

We need to rip the control of our country back from the elitists who put our USA interests somewhere between first and third base.

This outcome of our USA decline is much more about elites and a caste system for themselves, that is intended to undermine most Americans. It is about the few getting more and we average Americans forced to pay for their more, and crony corrupt policies. We always end up with fewer jobs and less opportunity and less national security.

I have become a populist who believes in honest government and power that serves the citizens and not at all globalists or outsiders or illegal immigrants, and especially not politicians or those that buy them. The pols should unabashedly serve us and our Constitution.

Yes, Sanders is just a low cost Trump, as far as I can see.

Trump is trying to take advantage of the fact that he Has no legislative or executive voting record to pin him down.

He’s all over the map, and his fan club here is perfectly willing to give him all the squirm room he needs.

Cruz says if they’re ‘illegal’ they cannot get benefits at all.

We need to build a fence and also deport the illegal aliens and those immigrants who commit crimes. Poland deported 16 million Germans and did it quickly during winter. Other countries have deported large numbers. President Eisenhower deported illegals, and nobody made a huge fuss. Many will also self deport if they don’t get welfare and other perks.

That's the way. The people who say you can't get millions to self-deport fail realize one simple fact: Every single illegal in the US today self-deported from his home country.

If Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, et al, can get millions to self-deport, then why can't we?

The Trump’s immigration plan is the best one on the market right now.

Agree. The other candidates are miles behind on the issue. And that includes Cruz.

“deportation?”

Deportation is indeed the main issue.

Without deportation you have defacto amnesty
