I'm also talking about politicians in Congress who have voted down sealing the border. No policy on immigration will work without sealing the border first. Cruz will and has spoken directly on solving this crisis long before Da'Donald woke up from his Corporate slumber.

What has Cruz done about sealing the border? What has he done about implementing a system to track and deport visa overstays who comprise 40% of the illegal aliens. Cite me some legislation he has proposed to solve these problems. Talk is cheap. The Donald isn't in Congress.

The President can make these changes happen, and only the President at this point. Secure Fence Act of 2006 was supposed to do the job, but somehow got forgotten after 700 miles were built.

LOL. Only about 30 miles were build with double fencing as originally proposed. It was a Rep, Kay Bailey Hutchison, who undermined the Secure Fence Act with an amendment that essentially killed it.

My point is that we've been lied to so many times it's inconceivable that a candidate without a track record is taken at full face value in his words. And not just any Republican candidate, but a NY-Democrat running as a Republican and talking all the same lines as previous Democrats and Republicans.

It is worth a shot. I am finished with career politicians who promise everything and deliver nothing. Look at the condition of this country and tell me why I should support any of them.

We are vetting candidates at this time, I suggest removing the blinders and that ability to just brush aside reality because it just will not do for our Constitution and the future of our Country.

Trump's immigration paper is revolutionary. It reflects what the American people want. We will see how it resonates with the public and then see how many Reps move in Trump's direction.

Ahh, the gotcha question. So is this the reason every Tom, Dick, and Lucy Conservative
should vote for the NY-Democrat, Da'Donald who has not done squat politically?

Which candidate has proposed flying the Astrodome to the Moon, HUH?
See, you cannot answer that can you............

You asked what has Cruz done regarding illegals.....

Cruz names securing the border and stopping illegal amnesty among his top priorities.

....Cruz introduced legislation blocking President Obama’s expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program. (GovTrack)

....Cruz introduced the Protect Children and Families Through the Rule of Law Act which would prevent the expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program; reform the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act so unaccompanied minors can be expeditiously united with their families back home; and take steps to ensure that state and local officials have the resources necessary to protect the people in their communities and secure the border. (GovTrack)

....Cruz led the opposition to the Gang of Eight amnesty bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee (Senate.gov) and voted against advancing the bill. (Senate.gov)
After the president’s 2014 executive amnesty Cruz was one of the few Republicans to speak out about Republican’s need to keep their campaign promise. (Breitbart)

....During debate over a spending bill at the end of the 113th Congress’ Lame Duck session, Senators Cruz and Lee took to the floor of the Senate calling for a vote on President Obama’s illegal executive action on immigration. Cruz’s and Lee’s proposal did receive a vote, losing twenty Republicans in a 22-74 defeat. (Politico)

.....Cruz was one the primary opponents to Loretta Lynch’s nomination. Not only did Cruz vote no on the important procedural vote to move the nomination forward, but he also actively took to the floor leading opposition. (Politico) (Senate.gov)
