They’re simply not capable of it, and at this point it would clearly be identified as a stunt.
As I wrote in a brilliant piece here several weeks ago, the Republicans had 10 YEARS to stop Trump, but they chose not to. All they needed to do was simply secure the border.
Now it’s too late - TRUMP OWNS THE ISSUE and there is no way that it can be pulled away from him. They may try - which can only lead to good things, like getting started on a wall sooner, but they cannot pull it away from him, not by a long shot, not even close.
I understand what you are saying. I didn’t mean they would implement his policy, but do something entirely different to appease the COC.
