He’s no conservative but I don’t think it matters much anymore. Some kind of insane mania has taken over and many people don’t seem to be able to see reason.

Trump is like the pied piper and so many conservatives seem to be eager to run off the side of the cliff:(

Hey Grandma, it’s called leadership and calling a spade of spade. If the other GOPe candidates would have done it, Trump wouldn’t be in the race.

Because we're tired of being bent over and getting the GOPe shaft. No more. Trump/Cruz 2016 or get ready for another 8 years of dummycrats, plain and simple. You will either side with an unstoppable team, or pave the way for the dummycrats. Choose wisely.

On this issue, I don’t like him either, and he’s not my first choice as a candidate.
That said, if I found a candidate who agreed with me on everything, I would not vote for him.
I’d figure he was some kind of nut!!!

Strange days...

Never mind the 4th amendment... "Conservatives" want to win no matter what.

Do you not understand why illegal immigration is the one conservative issue at this time above all others?

You’ll have to include Cruz running off that cliff. He did not write Kate’s Law until after Trump showed leadership on immigration issues.

Granny, I don’t think that the reaction to Trump of so many here indicates that Freepers have ‘lost their senses’.

Most of the people I’ve seen supporting Trump, have at the same time claimed that their first choice is Cruz.

They are just grateful to have a forceful voice putting across their concerns - especially on immigration - as Trump does: fearlessly, and with no political CYA.

Trump is changing the conversation, and for the most part he’s changing it to focus on a lot of our main concerns.

(He’s also making Politics FUN again, after so many years of sheer ugliness or, at best, just plain flaccid dreariness. I like that, even if I don’t agree with Trump on every point.)

Agree. The situation is disheartening.

“Some kind of insane mania has taken over and many people don’t seem to be able to see reason.”

While I consider lowering the Medicare deductible for prescription drug coverage from $58.25 per year to $56.50 per year, as has been proposed by Jeb (but not Trump), I’m willing to let it go, this time around, in exchange for:

1) DEPORTING MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS

2) ENDING SANCTUARY CITIES

3) ENDING ANCHOR BABIES

4) SLOWING DOWN H1B’s

5) FORCING E-VERIFY

...because I feel some issues are a bit more important than others.
