I disagree but fortunately that is something the Congress decides and they just passed legislation stopping the mass data collection of phone records. And you can thank Rand Paul for it. So it does not really matter what Trump thinks about it.

In all honesty there is no candidate that anyone is going to agree with 100%. I’m looking for 80%. I’m about 95% with Trump.

“they just passed legislation stopping the mass data collection of phone records. “

Not really. They transferred the responsibility to do it from the NSA to the companies. The data’s still there and the NSA can examine it under the same rules they used before.
I do, and thought at the time of the Patriot Act debate, that this is a better way to do it. It’s there and the government can see it when they have a ‘good’ reason.
But it’s a little less likely to be abused.

Unconstitutional data collection is more than a 5% disagreement. The guy is no constitution alust... He will govern via the pen just like Obama. We don’t need another executive order pres.

I’m with you. Idealogical purity is nice and probably impossible to find in a candidate.

I’m looking at this election not as a chance to vote for ideologically purity but as a way to solve one, maybe two, big problems. Trump sounds serous about illegal immigration. If it takes four years to since that one issue, it’s tempting to support him.

I’m sick and tired of supporting the right issues articulated by politicians who don’t get anything done on the big issues.
