I don’t think you’re being reasonable. I mean, if running a business is your big thing, then surely you should’ve been thrilled with Romney, right?
You’re never going to get a perfect candidate who ticks every box for everything. I read Cruz’s book. He decided from a fairly young age he had a passion for public service. I believe him and sense he has a pure heart. I mean, sure, it would be great if he also ran a business from the ground up for 20 years. And was Governor. And was Senator. And spoke four languages. And was a valedictorian. And a doctor. And raised a good family. And and and... You can keep going on ad infinitum.
He only signed onto TPA because McConnell straight up lied to his face. Multiple times.
Guess what Cruz did when he uncovered the truth? He immediately withdrew support and called McConnell a liar from the floor of the Senate. I don’t know about you, but I respect that tremendously. No other candidate in this race has been as hostile to the establishment as Cruz. Believe me, what we see in public is tame to what really goes on behind closed doors when the knifes come out.
That’s such crap. That’s a straight Democrat taking point. “Cruz doesn’t do enough in Congress. He needs to get stuff done! What an obstructionist!”
I’ll take obstructionism over the establishment “getting stuff done” any day. “Getting stuff done” like the establishment doing show votes on repealing Obamacare that are designed to fail and letting Democrats completely control the agenda? I’m just so sick of people that want conservatives to sell out their principles just to “do something”.
No other candidate has been rolled by Mitch McConnell as often as Cruz. Too bad he didn't listen to his own staff's warnings about the turtle.
Cruzs’ voters are conservatives period. Cruzs’ appeal will not cross over to moderate Rats’, Blacks or any other demographic. Trump however has a far bigger base then just conservatives.
