‘Muslim-free’ gun shop teams with George Zimmerman to sell Confederate flag prints
Washington Post ^ | 08/18/2015 | Abby Ohlheiser

The owner of a Central Florida gun shop that recently declared itself a “Muslim-free zone” announced that he is teaming up with another Floridian, George Zimmerman, to raise funds for both of their legal bills by selling prints of Zimmerman’s painting of a Confederate flag.

In a newly posted 10-minute “mini-documentary” about the burgeoning friendship between Zimmerman and Florida Gun Supply owner Andy Hallinan, the pair discussed how they believe “the media twists the truth” about them and argued that the Confederate flag must be defended by Americans against a “cultural cleansing” campaign waged by the media and the political elite.

Then, the pair announced that they are selling a series of prints of Zimmerman’s Confederate flag painting, which includes the inscription, “The 2nd protects our 1st.” Zimmerman described the inscription as a “double entendre.”

“I was painting the American flag when I heard of you getting sued by CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations), and I decided that I would do for you what the American people did for me,” Zimmerman told Hallinan, in reference to his own fundraising campaign for a legal defense fund. In 2013, Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder charges for the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.

The prints are going for about $50 each, and Zimmerman and Hallinan have promised to give the original painting away to one of the people who purchase a print. Most of the proceeds will be split between Zimmerman and Hallinan to use for legal bills and living expenses; an unspecified portion will go to the Boys and Girls Club.

Well, I didn't draw them. The Confederate Battle Flag is the current device under attack as being "racist". It is to be expunged from the history of this country if the current media campaign succeeds, and along with it, the statues, images, street names and memorials to those who led that fight and perished in it--from an entire side of that conflict. If you can agree that the distortion of fact by the media occurs today, and that that distortion has led to violent destruction in two American cities, why would you want the media to succeed in this campaign?

The flag has come to mean "rebel" over the last half century, as much as its historical meaning, and is only recently being sold to the people as "racist" by those who are making a good living selling soap between segments of biased "news". That same media are the ones who tried to foment riots, led to Zimmerman having a price on his head (NBP: $10K dead or alive), and this, along with allegations of "racism" by a gun shop owner who refuses to sell to Muslims, is thumbing their noses at the media.

I would rather look upon a Confederate Battle flag than a lot of the things that pass for "art" out there. Besides, some of my ancestors and relatives fought under that standard.

As for sports "heroes", you would compare them with people who placed their lives on the line to defend their homes and families? The one out there right now all over the media isn't even known for sports so much as being "transgendered".

That to me is plenty to rebel against.

I agree with your post completely ... but I don't think any police dispatcher said to return to his vehicle. I think the call handler said something like, "You don't have to do that." [i.e. You don't have to follow the suspect]. Even the best of us are vulnerable to what the media wants us to remember rather than what actually transpired!

“But, he has no clue what normal is. His brain is broken.”

Horsecrap. The man took a stand and is still taking arrows from the Marxist gun grabbers to uphold our right to defend ourselves against thugs. What’s wrong with that?

there is something “off” about him. to deny that is to deny the obvious. whether or not he was justified in shooting that punk kid who was assaulting him does not give him a perpetual “get out of jail free” card. he simply needs to go off the grid and live a quiet life somewhere and become a footnote to history like Bernie Goetz.
