You are right on. How much does it actually cost per hour to employ someone at $15 an hour? Just guessing I would say it must be close to$25.

Depends on the state, depends on the nature of the business, and lots of other things as well. One of the dirty little secrets that libtards don't understand is that the more someone is paid, the lower overhead he costs as a percentage of employment costs. Entry level wage people want $15/hour without understanding that in most states, in most businesses, someone making $7.25 is probably costing the employer more like $12.00.

They also don't seem to understand that most businesses employing entry level people are borderline.

If I have $240,000 for 10 FTE entry-level workers and the minimum wage goes from $7.25 to $15 /hour, I don't suddenly find room in the budget to keep them on. I suddenly find $240,000 pays half as many people, and half of them are gone.
