We don't have ex post facto law in this country. Constitutionally.

Yes, I too sometimes wish we did.

You’d have to know how many illegals there are before zeroing in on illegal “anchor babies”.

So called “anchor babies” of parents in this country illegally have no legitimate consitutional claim to citizenship.

In fairness they should be given a choice to self deport or undergo post birth abortion. Congress could it the “Anchor Baby’s Right To Choose Act”. Liberals love that “right to choose”.

Yes, strip them of their ill gotten citizenship in mass and deport their asses.

Never heard Trump say anything about deporting American citizens. He did say that he’d deport the illegal parents of anchor babies, and that he’d try to keep the families together (the babies leave US with parents), but he did not say he would prevent anchor babies from remaining in the US if they had some situation which allowed that.

O’Reilly just being his typical blowhard self.

You don't do it retroactively. Every year someone in Congress introduces a bill to eliminate birthright citizenship. This year Steve King introduced one:

H.R.140 - Birthright Citizenship Act of 2015

Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to consider a person born in the United States "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States for citizenship at birth purposes if the person is born in the United States of parents, one of whom is: (1) a U.S. citizen or national, (2) a lawful permanent resident alien whose residence is in the United States, or (3) an alien performing active service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

States that this Act shall not be construed to affect the citizenship or nationality status of any person born before the date of its enactment.

BOR(E) thinks he’s smarter than he is. Trump is right but some of the “candidates” for removal will be sticky issues - send the illegal parents home and see what happens to those that don’t return with them...a start is a start and the discontinuance of the current twisted protocol will have a very positive effect.

" The courts would block you at every turn. You must know all that."

Patently false. Courts deport children born in this country all the time. In addition, during the depression hundreds of thousands of Illegals (and their families) were deported. Then again during Operation Wetback, well over one million, many of which were children born in this country.

"I can quote it!" O'Reilly exclaimed. "You want me to quote you the amendment? If you're born here, you're an American — period! Period!"

That is not "quoting", it's "paraphrasing". Big difference between quoting and paraphrasing and Bill should know it, being such a grammar-hawk and all.

If he were quoting, he would have included "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" which is the clause Trump kept referring to when he said his legal advisors had a different interpretation of the 14th.

No.

Even though BOR is dead wrong, he will not ‘lose’ because he will just cut Levin’s mike.

Persons born here AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF are citizens.

It will be up to Congress to pass a law prohibiting citizenship to the children of illegals, and then it will be up to the courts, ultimately SCOTUS, to decide what "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means.

My interpretation is if you are here on a valid visa, you are here subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. If you're not hear legally, you are not.

Oh my......and you held Ogabe’s birth certificate in your hands. Right, Yosemite Sam?

I tried to find that video of BOR bragging all he had to do was contact Hawaii and they sent him a copy of that BC but it seems to have disappeared.

You wouldn't happen to have a link of it stashed away would you?

If we don’t deport all illegals from the USA and reduce legal immigration then the USA is done.

Immigration is the most important issue

Since 1965 democrats have imported 42 million legal immigrants from the 3rd world . that’s 42 mllion voters for democrats added to the USA.Now these are the worshiped “legal” immigrants.

In addition there are 30 million illegals. and how many of those vote or donate to democrats?

Ann Coulter in her book explains it better than anyone how immigrants are destroying the USA

http://www.amazon.com/Adios-America-Ann-Coulter/dp/1621572676

The illegals explosion started under Bill Clinton. This cretin’s election is the exact moment when the country started the decline

Sounds like Michael Medved.

The GOPe veil is being lifted. They are exposing themselves left and right.

And no, if you are born here, you are not necessarily an american. The 14th amendment has a caveat, and anchor babies of illegals don’t meet the requirement.

Probably true that you can’t deport anchor babies who were born here under the current rules. The courts will never allow that.

Actually, you can. The 14th covers it.

Ike deported 2,000,000 in the 1950’s I think I read that somewhere

The number deported was closer to 1.5 million. It was called operation wetback. The Mexican government was for the operation and cooperated.

Is O’Reilly talking about the anchor babies - they can't be deported?

Are these illegal aliens a new breed of parents who will NOT take their children with them when they move?

What kind of people leave their children behind?

...“Democrats have opened our borders to all manner of horrific Third World violence, crime, and disease. The GOP has supported and endorsed this vile activity every single step of the way. Trump has tapped into the fury of the American people over the unrelenting anti-American NWO push of our paid employees in government. Trump could win this on this one issue alone. Americans are tired of being betrayed by their government on both sides of the aisle.”...

The 14th amendment has been grossly misinterpreted. All it was ever meant to do was bestow citizenship on freed slaves and their children.

I’m not a constitutional lawyer but I play one at home. So I’m going to say the word “jurisdiction” framed in the 14th amendment is where you attack the anchor baby problem.

Don’t be so politically correct. But I wouldn’t have called them beans, personally I use the term wetback. I find that much more universal in usage.
